The Continuum. AKA Connie.

Personality:

She‘s often very sweet, willing to comfort but not allow any further usually. What that could mean is that she will leave you dying on the road, but comfort you on your way to dying- though more likely to just leave because circle of life. There’s also a chance she’ll save you because it’s sad for people to die. 

 Many people who have met her often call her cryptic because her words are often so full of emotion, yet as dull as the expression she forever keeps on her face. Although if you look closely she is very expressive, just not with her fake eyes. It’s in her body language and her real eye. Though don’t get too close to her real eye- or else you might see a secret she never wanted anyone to know.

She almost never reveals the full truth- only opening the pathway to figuring it out. Although when she doesn’t know something, she pursue’s it. Curious of it’s nature and intent- only attacking if it turns out hostile. If it’s not, she’ll simply resume her gentle oddly-moving state. Speaking softly and carefully. Though there’s always a chance she’ll say something super out of pocket because she’s a little silly like that. 

Depending on one’s personality, she could be seen as either deeply unsettling or ethereal. Often appearing in the dark spaces of the world no one notices in plain sight. Sometimes appearing simply to watch the people she wishes to reach out too, but cannot because of her own nature. Being unnatural to even herself.

A good word to describe Connie and how she is would be ‘detached’. She’s not someone who can completely receive an emotional response. It’s like a lullaby, in a way. She can reach you, but you can’t touch her. She can feel your emotions, she can sense your intent, but anything else? Good luck. It’s not the best explanation because some does get through to her. Especially when she’s in vulnerable moments.

She does hold a level of care about and for everything, and expresses that with affection. Although those she doesn’t favor she’s not nearly as affectionate with, if you can even tell. She won’t hold ill will against them most of the time. Nothing she does is ever done in ill faith. Light hearted teasing, most of the time.
One thing about her that you will want to avoid at all costs is sending her into survival mode. This can be done via burning her tree’s, destroying any good portion of her true body (which is hard to do- mainly cause only others of her non-existent species or their sketchy material -only Connor and Lava basically- can truly do harm. But anyone can make her sick, give her pains, etc. etc.), making yourself a danger to her (said giving sickness, headaches, and more), or just pissing her off in an extreme way. Her survival mode doesn’t give a fuck about you. Although innocents will be left alone, it’s not worth it if you value your anything.

General Facts:

Connie is a being that was formed by forced will from a predecessor, and birthed time, matter, and space. Her body contains numbers we cannot comprehend of universes living in her.

You’ll have to ask her tree’s if you want to know that. She rarely gets involved with others for a variety of reasons. Her ‘body’ as seen by others is just a part of her actual body sticking out to interact w/ others because she gets very lonely.

Generally, the “sketchy” parts of her body can change into..anything. Though her head stays the same, minus the fact that under her giant eye she sometimes forms a kitten nose, two extra eyes, and a mouth- that can be mixed and matched. Also those “sketchy” parts can feel like anything. Touch it once, you could feel spiders. Touch it twice, you could feel cotton candy. She’d prefer it not made a game of roulette.

She does have a ’human’ form. Although it only looks human from a distance. This form is hard for her to maintain as controlling how her body forms in shapes that are uncommon for her is difficult. If she wants to be convincing she’ll manipulate perception. Though she does so rarely, or careless about actually making the effect strong. She mainly does so to make mortals who aren’t trained in seeing through simple illusions see her as human in the places Lava drags her to. Sometimes using this when the place she’s hiding in to people watch isn’t the best- so she makes it seem as if she is just part of the background.

Her ref facts are now up to date. One thing to clarify; those that have been dragged into her eye is not the secret of her eye.

Indulging in things that makes her happy; might put her in discomfort. Spending quality time with people she cares about makes her sick at times. Someone being affectionate with her can potentially make her dizzy. Interaction in general could; it’s like russian roulette in a way. Why? That’s for her to know. She’s not ever going to stop doing things because of it, if throwing herself into fire is what it takes to enjoy her surroundings to their fullest- then that is what she will do. And she will have the time of her life doing so.

Some Fun Facts:

• Breaking into houses is like a hobby. 
• She smells like your favorite smell, somehow. This also extends to taste.
• She takes naps in the snow.. She.. really likes her naps.
• Does not like shoes. At all. If she were capable of hate it would be for shoes. They make her feel uncomfy.
• 100% will wear whatever you bring her that isn’t shoes. Most of the time.
• She has incomplete emotions that she shouldn’t have. This fact is a curse and blessing to her, depending on her mood and situation. It’s also part of the reason why she can’t physically feel not lonely! 
• Can act high class if she needs to. She does for Lava when they need a plus one at parties.
• She can feel ‘bloodlust’ but that’s only happened twice and it’s because of Uno.
• Adores watching the cycle of life. Sometimes that means aiding in it.
• Has a forest where she gathers the abandoned and puts them in there.
•  Few special tree’s in her forest have her ‘personal past memories.’ 
• Adores physical affection. Ask her to jump into your lap and she will. Even sometimes (though unlikely) for people she thinks are kinda pricks. 
• An attempt to listen to her heartbeat will instead end with you hearing millions of heartbeats, calming like a lullaby. You might hear your own, if you have or had one.
• Really, really prefers not fighting. Makes her feel bad.
• Oddly her non-sketch parts and arm/tail feel soft, and could either feel like skin or fleshy marble. Best way to explain it.
• Her true laughter is like an overlap of every kind of laugh. Sad, happy, angry, etc. So she hides it to not scare people.
• She doesn’t sing much, but when she does it is a surprisingly beautiful singing voice. It just has some side effects; don’t worry about it.
• Her arm/tail strings are similar to whiskers and nerves. Extremely sensitive. 
• It is not her nature to smile. It is an action she mimics when she has formed a mouth as a way to show people she is interacting with them in their way- although often forgets to.
• She is a non-linear being.
• She likes to commit body horror. Stating it as “relaxing”.
• Whenever she takes a nap, creatures and people of all kinds are generally attracted to her location for the safety and healing her sleeping form can bring. It’s not uncommon for two people or creatures that would usually be fighting to simply truce to bask in the safe space she brings when sleeping. Though those affected the most are those who are lost in any sense, hurting, or simply need help. Barry went through this once.
• She doesn’t do deals. Ask her to make a deal and she’ll take it as an insult most times.
• She can look at something/one and retrieve all the information she needs on said thing/person from her tree’s as they are a part of her. However that doesn’t go for everyone or thing. Nor does she do this most of the time as her default state is being curious.
• Without her trees, she’d struggle to feel any curiosity at all. And that’s one of her favorite feelings. She doesn’t like how she has to put her memories in trees just to feel as curious as she loves to be.
• Bet’cha didn’t know she has ankles. Don’t ask how, don’t ask why, she doesn’t even use them. Well sometimes she does.
• At times she wonders if she’s asleep or not. What she sees and what she dreams are the exact same for now.
• She can taste when food was made with love and care. The actual emotions. They’re her favorite thing to taste.
• She has been confused for mother nature before, but Connie is not her, even if she is referred to on occasion as ‘The Great Mother’. She just isn’t very mother like. She existed before nature as it is known in general. 
• Dancing is a big part of her language. So she‘s HUGE on dancing. She likes doing ballet and swing.
• She has venom. It only hurts around two-three people, for others it can bring a myriad of positive effects. Though the more powerful you are the less of an effect it has on you. She can produce this venom anywhere in her body.
