"I only came to your house a little bit ago, why do you like me?"
Dustin's an excitable and energetic kid who loves seeking thrills and adventures! He's also extremely mischievous and does not have a moral compass, he's quite selfish and heavily relies on his raccoon powers to escape danger so he doesn't have much self-preservation for the most part. But it's only because he's so used to fending for himself before Colt found him... Now he's with his loving parents who'll happily buy him food, entertainment and water without having to steal for it, he's slowly becoming softer!

BACKSTORY
THE LABS
When Dustin was still being raised by his biological parents, the Millers, Dustin would barely see his parents due to the fact they were always so caught up with their work... Eventually, he'd go up to them and ask them if he could visit their workplace for a day although they adamantly told him he wasn't allowed to join them, after hours on end of nagging and crying, his parents would give in and let him enter the laboratory for a whole day... Unfortunately, Dustin was incredibly curious as a small kid and got too close to the needles...
SHAPE-SHIFTING
When he was injected with the medicine, his parents would have to make the gut-wrenching decision to put their own son under containment procedures. But because Dustin was a pure accident he wasn't assigned any scientists to study him so the Millers did. Luckily, Dustin never had to go through the awful experimentations that went down in that laboratory and he never truly understood just how tragic his situation was because he was only the age of four...
When Gordie breached the security, Dustin had only been in the labs for a year. However, his life wouldn't change for the better... When Dustin managed to escape his cell, he couldn't find his biological parents no matter where he looked and knowing he had a limited time to escape, Dustin would leave the laboratory with the ambiguity of his parents' safety... Living out in the streets for an astonishing six years. He thought that he would be homeless his whole life so he tried making the best of what he had...
Well, that was until a tall large man with a scarf wrapped around his wrist found him.
RELATIONS
Zachary and Dustin don't get along at all but it's always in a playful way. The two constantly banter while playing video games with each other and although they both will never admit it, they both really care about each other.
Colt loves Dustin and treats him like he's his own son by blood. He sees himself in him and does everything to guide Dustin on the right path, trying to give Dustin a normal childhood the best he can and shield him from the truth that not everybody thinks his "sweet raccoon powers" are so sweet...
Although Gordie can come off as strict and overprotective when Dustin wants to do something by himself without any of his guardians watching over him, it's only because she cares about Dustin's safety. He doesn't remember Gordie's face because he was too young at the time but back when she worked at the laboratory, she saw Dustin was also involved in the experiments... He sometimes sees Dustin as a way to fix his past mistakes.
MISC
TRIVIA
- Used to think Gordie was the pushover of the family until she gave him an hour-long lecture on how he's not allowed to go outside unsupervised. He learnt his lesson alright!
- Can probably speak to rats. He's the Rat King
- Finds it really embarrassing to call Colt "Dad", Gordie "Mom" and Zachary "Bro"... But sometimes it slips out on pure accident
- Likes to think his parents are still out there and alive but that's just what he tells himself... He's not stupid...
- He has mannerisms similar to a raccoon/animal: he's more jumpy when he's really excited, hisses when he's angry, goes into flight mode when he's scared
