Gordie is a bright and cheerful person, he always finds himself putting his chin up. She finds a way to look at a situation from a positive perspective even if it can come off as forced, she just doesn't want people to worry about her even if it comes at her own expense. He can also be quite overly protective at times. It's only because she cares about the people most important to her, even if his worries come off as annoying and overbearing.

BACKSTORY
THE LABS
Before the laboratory, Gordie would meet someone named Grayson Hawkins during her college years. They both had a passion for science and zoology in particular; the two kept close contact to the point Gordie had started to date him. For a while, the two would have a relatively stable and happy relationship with each other but unfortunately, Grayson would start getting more caught up in his work that it would start to eat him alive, he had barely any time to spend with Gordie... Right when their relationship was against the ropes, Grayson would finally finish creating the Medicine that has the ability to turn humans into animal hybrids. By then, Gordie was so desperate for Grayson to spend time with him again that she would willingly help him out with his next step which was to test the medicine with human experiments.
SHAPE-SHIFTING
When Gordie was working at the laboratory, she would find herself on the verge of breakdowns almost every day... He wasn't cut out for being such a heartless scientist and it was taking a tremendous toll on his mental health. After a long year of working at the labs, she would finally get the courage to confront Grayson; telling him that she needed to quit. This would not boil down well at all and the confrontation would end with Grayson forcefully injecting Gordie with the medicine; using the fact she was also an animal hybrid to blackmail her into making her stay working for him.
As a result, Gordie would continue to work at the laboratory for an agonising three more years before he would snap and breach the lab's security... But even after a ten-year gap from the incident, he's still terrified of Grayson... It's one of the reasons she despises when she shape-shifts... Her bird form reminds him of his past and specifically his ex.
RELATIONS
It took a very long while for the two to get along. It was a really complicated situation but eventually, Zachary started to sympathise with him. With the help of Colt, they managed to heal their trauma altogether. Zachary and Colt love Gordie and welcome Gordie with open arms!
When the three escaped the labs, despite Gordie's involvement in their trauma, Colt could see that she was different and that she was also a victim of abuse. Although their relationship used to be very rocky, the three managed to mend it together and now both Colt and Zach welcome Gordie with open arms. Calling Gordie 'grateful' is an understatement and he'll do anything for his partners.
Although Gordie can come off as strict and overprotective when Dustin wants to do something by himself without any of his guardians watching over him, it's only because she cares about Dustin's safety. He doesn't remember Gordie's face because he was too young at the time but back when she worked at the laboratory, she saw Dustin was also involved in the experiments... He sometimes sees Dustin as a way to fix his past mistakes.

TRIVIA
- Fucking sucks at solitaire lol
- He's the best at singing but he's also really decent at playing the violin. She would take side jobs to make extra money but with Dustin around she stays at home to care for him.
- Finds ghosts and the idea of demons really interesting. He likes the horror genre to Zachary's dismay
- Nothing scares Gordie more than a car going over the speed limit. She is genuinely afraid of driving unsafely and is the person who makes sure not to TOUCH any alcohol so she can drive everyone back home
- He has mannerisms similar to a bird/animal: he chirps when he's really happy, stiffens up when he's angry, picks her own hair when he's scared/sad
