A nerdy and chill guy who spends most of his time writing. He enjoys movies and spends a lot of his time contemplating stories or plots for ones he would like to see.
Occasionally, he will bring his camera out, mostly to film short clips of forests, quiet towns, the evening sky, things in his room… anything that brings him peace. It gives him something to do during his many sleepless nights.
Despite his calm nature, he comes off as stuck-up or stiff to many - not unfamiliar with the label of a "party pooper".

Nathan's childhood was spent in loneliness. When the family came together at the dinner table, it always ended in fights. He had a sister, but she was never home. When he was approached by classmates, he was always labeled as a freak in the end. He never told his parents.
The eccentric transfer student that no one liked either befriended him in elementary. The bullying never stopped, but he wasn't so alone anymore. Not without compromise though, since he would forever be followed by such a strange child. Souta really did never leave, though - even sticking with him when he went mute in his early years. He'll never admit it, but seeing Souta became the highlight of his weeks back then.
His school years are over, but the scars still linger. However, that doesn't stop him from living his life. He's not quite sure where he'll end up, but for now, he's happy working on his films, and helping out with Souta's plan on the side.

Souta
The one Nathan is most frequently paired with. They've been inseparable since they met as kids, and stuck together through thick and thin. Their relationship is built on trust, patience and a deep understanding of each other.
Ches
Ches is part of the team, but Nathan still can't quite figure out why Souta decided to let the 16 year old join. Not only are they a literal baby, but they pester him with silly pranks and jokes too, which Souta just laughs at. Of course he still cares for Ches, but more so in the way of a worried parent than a friend.
Esteri
Quite awkward. Nathan is deeply suspicious of her because of her connections, but trusts Souta's judgement on letting her in on their lives. They don't have much in common, nor do they speak much, but neither is particularly interested in changing that.
Chloe
They're not on bad terms, but they don't really speak, either. Chloe admittedly looks down on him a bit for being too empathetic and weak for trusting other people, but recognizes his past, and feels guilty since she wasn't ever home to help him with the bullying that occurred at his school when they were young.

A total coffee addict. Started as an energy boost but he began to like the process of making it, trying out different types and getting to enjoy the flavour.
Nathan has a lot of trouble staying present. He will randomly dissociate, zone out, daydream or sometimes even fall asleep randomly. Partly due to lingering trauma, partly due to his lack of sleep. He will randomly wake up with a pillow beneath him no matter where he fell asleep, or worse, tucked in with a blanket, making him terribly embarrassed afterwards.
He is adamant on keeping his surroundings clean. His floors are clean, bed is made, dishes arranged neatly in the cupboards. It's the main thing he and Souta argue about, as they are polar opposites in this regard.
