Celestino shows two sides of his personality, depending on the environment. With family, strangers, or co-workers he's not comfortable with yet, he comes off serious and very stoic. Because of his mysterious mask he puts up and his formal look, some might swoon over him. However, when he becomes comfortable or purposefully goofs around, he expresses his opinions and his sexuality more, even to annoy the boss at work. Despite his clownery getting him into trouble at work at times, he somehow gets away with not being fired.

STORY
Inspired through his family working previously within the industry, Celestino Castillo begins his journey within funeral services and mortuary science through Cypress College. In no more than two years, the young man had eventually graduated with his major, making him viable to get his foot in the door with the field.
Despite living in SoCal for the majority of his schooling, Celestino would eventually move back upstate due to an estranged relationship between his previous boyfriend.
Regardless of the circumstances, Celestino needed a new job to pay for the NorCal bills, ultimately picking a starter job as a bartender for the time being. Even with his love and developing skills for mixology, Celestino would come to realize the toxic work environment, with the straw that would break the camel’s back being his boss.
In due course, Celestino would throw in the rag and quit the job. Figuring that something along the lines of his major would be more sufficient anyway. Through the help of his professors back in SoCal, Celestino would come across the secluded, yet welcoming walls of Lambgrove Mortuary, unaware of the rather strange family he would become a part of…

NINE Boss/Partner
To say Celestino’s and Nine’s relationship started off as a complicated one is an understatement. With many of his advancements rejected at first, Celestino’s relationship with the mortician had blossomed into something rather unexpected. Once wishing for Nine to open up, the apprentice was one of the first people to show a life worth living for the mortician. Even with Celestino heavily looking up to Nine and the work they put into the mortuary, the apprentice holds their relationship close to his heart. As the bond between the two has grown stronger than one may have anticipated.
Celestino doesn't know much about this mysterious woman who occasionally walks into the mortuary, other than her status and to check on how business is going. Regardless of that, she gives off a very intimidating demeanor to him, often calling her Ms. Boss Lady when she's mentioned in conversations.

Blair didn’t understand how someone such as Celestino got into the business and yet alone gained an apprenticeship at first. With the two being the only other mortuary workers, they were forced to work together. Despite this, a familiar relationship had began to form. Blair sees the apprentice as an older brother and like most siblings, the two may have disagreements or pick on each other a little too much. However, Blair knows that Celestino will always have his back and vice versa.
Although there has been a few sarcastic and humorous interactions with one another, the relationship between Astra and Celestino is very neutral as they both hardly see each other, due to being in different departments. Hopefully their relationship can expand more once Celestino learns more about embalming or when work needs Astra to help with pickups.
