Dogbane

Cass is Dog's life partner. They've been close since their days in salmonid society but didn't become fully commited to one another as life partners until after striking out on their own. They even had a lil pseudo-wedding ceramony! Afterwards they moved to the Splatlands and joined a community of defected octolings and disillusioned salmonids, eventually helping construct the small oasis town they live in today.

Lila and their sister, Rosy, are Dogbane and Cass' kids through and through, even if the family is less than convential. Although they were raised by the town's community as a whole, Dog and Cass had the most involment in the duo's unconventinal upbringing and were the most like traditional parents. Dog very proudly taught them everything they know about technology and scavaging, which turns out to be a lot considering his background as a military Steel Eel technician and driver. He's immeasurably proud to have sparked their love of tech! Lila helping him fix up his Steel Eel, viper, when they were younger is probably one of the biggest defining moments of his life. The sort of moment where any doubt he had about taking in the two octolings disappeared from his mind.

Dog is relatively close to the odd smallfry's parents, but nontheless confused by the kid's perception of him as some kind of uncle. He finds it too strange but a lil endearing at times. As an army veteran, he appreciated the little guy's discipled manner and he trusts the smallfry enough to have sent him off with Lila and Rosy when they left for Splatsville.
