Trident
A common coral trident often wielded by the Sea Elves. He was armed by Iluun when saved by the Sahuagin, and prefers to use it underwater. He uses a steel greatsword on dry land.
Protective Field
Triton work together in squads that protect each other in combat using psionics. Triton warriors are known to shield allies with telekenitic fields, reducing would-be severe attacks to mere cuts and scrapes.
Psionic Strikes
Psionics can be used for both offense and defense. While guarding each other, Triton soldiers will psionically enhance their weapon attacks to be even more devastating with the sheer force behind them. In this way, Triton warriors can reduce normally-impenetrable defenses to dust.

Alaryc as a whole views Iluun warily. He's able to appreciate what Iluun did for him but finds the whole thing quite strange. He intends on keeping a close eye on that sea elf until he's able to puzzle out his motives.
It's rare to see a water genasi outside of the deep sea, let alone spending their entire life on land in service of the church. Alaryc finds their dedication to a cause respectable, but questions their wisdom since they appear to somewhat gullible. With some elbow grease, he can turn them into a fine warrior fit for the Triton Empire.
Truthfully, Alaryc doesn't really get Baeldar. Out of all the surface-folk, he finds the Firbolg the strangest both in appearance and personality. His society lacks people like Baeldar who are soft and patient, qualities Alaryc generally associates with weakness. Yet Baeldar eases some of the tension always set into Alaryc's mind, somehow...?
For a human, Sean is more keen than Alaryc would've imagined. He is surprisingly up-beat, which Alaryc originally mistook as naive optimism, but he has come to realize that smile is for the morale of the group more than anything else. He finds Sean slow on the uptake, which is quite annoying to him, and he'd prefer is Sean spent less time trying to "connect" with him or whatever.
