Overview

Lunitera are a mothlike anthro species with a floating head, fur collar, mothlike wings, antennae, and compound eyes.  They are highly variable in terms of fluffiness, and their wings can resemble any moth wings.  They all have mouths, but they are divided into three groups: plant-eaters, nectar-eaters, and mana-eaters.  Plant- and nectar- eaters use their mouths to eat, while mana-eaters do not use their mouths and absorb ambient mana in their surroundings.  Their home is a moon, orbiting a planet, but they are found all over the universe in colonies.

Lifecycle

Lunitera start as eggs, then they hatch into Catera (which resemble caterpillars), then they form a cocoon and become a Luneling, than an adult Lunitera.

Magic

Lunitera always have a light affinity, though they can have up to two other affinities.  They are able to use these types of magic easily, and through their Lightstones.  These Lightstones are also the reason their heads float.   A Lunitera's magical strength is determined by their rarity, with commons being the weakest, and Royals being the strongest.

Society

Lunitera society is based around Lightstones, which provide an ample source of mana for mana-eaters, and also to power their technology.  They build colonies around chunks of Lightstone they have taken to other planets/moons, and each colony is led by at least one Royal Lunitera.  The exact structure of a colony, including whether it is open to new members, varies from colony to colony.
