backstory

ok so he and rue were best friends in highschool but didnt start dating until after rue transitioned (a few years after graduating hs)
his parents divorced when he was around 10, his mom hasnt dated since (and doesnt particularily want to) but his dad got remarried to karol's mom and thats how theyre related. loren doesnt have any biological siblings but him , karol and karol's sister might as well be fully related with how well they get along
they completed highschool normally but didnt go to any further education and just lived with their mom (but still hung out w their dad a lot) until they eventually got a place with rue, but that was still a few years they graduated hs
