Omniopteryx are a highly adaptive alien species. No one is quite sure of their planet of origin, as they are so widely spread across the galaxy. Omniopteryx are capable of living in the harshest conditions, allowing them to adapt to life on virtually any planet.
Omniopteryx often live in hives in a community with other Omniopteryx. When a hive becomes overcrowded, Queens will take a select number with them to start a new hive elsewhere. As such, the galaxy is saturated with Omniopteryx, and they can be found everywhere.
Although most Omniopteryx live in “the wild” with only other Omniopteryx and select companion creatures, some do opt to live among other species in cities. Omniopteryx who live in cities built and populated by other species are often referred to as living in an “apiary”. While it is possible for Omniopteryx to live completely solo, most prefer to live in some sort of society or civilization, as they are very social creatures.
Omniopteryx are pack hunters, and often go after much larger creatures as a group to bring back to the hive. While Omniopteryx are omnivorous, pack hunting is a very big part of life for them, and said hunters will usually also gather materials and ingredients as well.
