Carmen is the youngest student to ever attend KIPA. On top of being a child prodigy in math, he has yet to lose a match and already made it to the blue rank. Carmen intends to keep his streak up and be the first student to graduate with no losses. He serves as a rival to Khalil.

Carmen is a proud student who holds himself and his specialty subject in high regard. Having the title of youngest KIPA student and a steady winning streak hasn't helped his inflated ego. It's to the point where he thinks lowly of those who aren't quite at his level. He's a keen strategic thinker and can easily catch errors, which is how he quickly got to the blue rank. Carmen can get pretty irritable and is quite quick-tempered, especially toward those who don't share his similar veneration for math. Even though he is book-smart, he still has that childish naiveté about things outside his understanding or subjects he isn't privy to. Carmen is an excellent pupil, but he could stand some humbling... at least just once.
Backstory
Carmen is also a native of Augusta and the youngest of two siblings, the other being an older sister. At the age of 5, Carmen displayed extraordinary math skills when he easily understood and demonstrated how to multiply and divide large numbers. He started studying geometry in first grade and pre-algebra in second grade. Due to his advancement in math, Carmen skipped two grade levels and was on track to learn Algebra 1 and 2 in fifth grade. He and Joni ended up being classmates together. During math lessons, he would go to a separate room where he was taught at his appropriate level. Proud of their son's achievements, his parents were excited to know KIPA was willing to accept him despite his age, hoping the academy would accommodate Carmen's growing intellect. He, too, could skip a grade or two in middle school if he graduates from KIPA within the school year.
Physicality
Carmen has a head full of red-hot hair styled in a large and tidy coil, similar to a pompadour. He also has a cowlick on his crown, making two short strands of hair stick upward. Carmen's skin tone is a pale pink with cool undertones. He has a small red cherry-like nose and rosy cheeks. He has a few freckles on his left cheek and none on his right. Carmen wears large oval-shaped glasses that make his eyes look beady and small, but once removed, his eyes are revealed to be bright green. Physically, Carmen is a short, round, and pudgy kid. He likes to wear sweater vests and khaki pants, but he sometimes can branch out with his wardrobe in different styles.

- Carmen was first drawn on December 21st, 2018 along with Prof. Otto Natlich.
- His design was inspired by Melvin Sneedly from Captain Underpants. In general, he's a light spoof on the "red-headed kid with glasses" character design archetype.
- His personality was inspired by Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory.
- Carmen goes by his middle name instead of his first name because he thinks Cabell "is not as exciting as Carmen."
