Simon is first seen in The Testimony Of Micah Jones when the three HYTEX robots meet up at The HYTEX Warehouse to have their codes updated. She is shown chatting to Micah. While Simon is also given Mouse's contact details, she doesn't contact Mouse. When it's revealed Simon and Micah have brains, Simon is very upset and vents to Micah about her fear that she might die. Out of fear, she lobotomises herself. In later entries, it's revealed in The Pragmatic Personality Of Parsley that these actions were either not Simon at all / only partially Simon, and actually Luke the whole time.

Luke is dead throughout the entirety of The Pragmatic Personality Of Parsley. However, Simon does find an old diary written by him. In it, it's implied Luke was likely neglected as a child. hHe had a friend called Bramble Prowl and was presumably quite smart for his age.

It's revealed in The Pragmatic Personality Of Parsley that Simon, (known as "Luke" before becoming a robot) was born in 2002 to two, ground-dwelling, Sirin parents. Luke was raised on a falconry and was often tasked with helping to look after the birds even as a young child. It's implied Luke was somewhat of a neglected child, not learning to speak English until much later into his development because he was too busy being raised by parrots and learning parrot language.

Not much else is none about Luke's later childhood, however we do know he was likely considered to be a smart kid or "smart for his age" thanks to him knowing what a punnett square was in Year 5, a concept not usually taught in schools until Year 8.

When Luke was 15, he was struck by lightning and knocked into a coma. HYTEX contacted both of Luke's parents, promising to help their son by roboticising them. However, they'd never be able to interact with him ever again. Seeing this as the best solution for their son's survival, Luke's parents volunteered Luke as apart of the HYTEX program.

• Luke Partridge was first created at (an unknown time) in March 2017 as an AU of APH Norway (Luka) in the webseries MAOMS. In MAOMS, Luka (MTF) was a stoic norwegian who was often assosciated with magic and the colour purple. Along with this, Luka's character arc involved her losing her right eye in a magic-related incident and falling in love with a funny fat guy who was good at impressions (Feliks) despite her best attempts to. A lot of these similarities can still be seen in Simon/Luke to this very day.
  • Luka/Luke wasn't truly revived as a character until (22:38) 17.01.22.
• Luke's birthday being 5th September 2002 is a reference to Simon Parsley, as a character, being created on the 5th September 2020. Crispin usually makes characters' birthdays the day they were made on, but Simon's wasn't. This annoyed Crispin later down the line and he wanted an excuse to change.
  • Coincidentally, this means that Luke/Simon and Crispin have the same birthday.

• In The Pragmatic Personality Of Parsley, Luke is described as having "straight, brown hair" in an old photo. On Toyhouse, Luke's hair is very clearly blond. This mistake likely came from Crispin forgetting to update the description of Luke from his old design before the book released.
  • Crispin spotted this mistake less than 24 hours before the book released. In lieu of this, he blamed it on the picture being old and Simon's eyesight being bad.
