Physical Appearance

Clothing Style

Adeshae's normal style is rather foresty and usually layered and cozy. They lean toward earthy colors, particularly shades of green and brown, and they never wear anything that's revealing or would make them cold. Their outfits are just about as gender-neutral as they are, and they don't really enjoy wearing anything too tight and opt for loose and comfortable clothing. Adeshae's outfit during the day before Faye's 18th birthday consists of a green and brown long sleeved top layered with a brown and green shawl, brown kapris tattered at the bottom, and brown leather boots with green straps and side panels. Their accessories include a green headband with some feathers and beads hanging off the side near their ear and some belts. One belt is around their hips, two are around their thighs, and two are around the top of their boots. These belts are silver with black and silver buckles, and they are styled the same as the belts on Faye's boots, which is why they contrast heavily with the rest of Adeshae's outfit. Adeshae uses the belt around their hips to hold the sheath for their rapier, and one on their leg holds a small pouch that holds a deck of cards. They also sometimes have a few beads and other charms threaded into their hair, but not on the day that Faye is stuck repeating.

Personality

Adeshae is a calm and serene druid of the forest who loyally follows Faye on her trial to gain control over her life. They tend to keep a level headed demeanor in whatever situation they may end up in, and they enjoy just going with the flow and figuring things out along the way. They are very resourceful and capable of fending for themself just fine, and they are adjusted to living in the forest on their own with only the denizens of nature keeping them company. They only interact with society when needed, and they tend to only do so for Faye's sake. Adeshae deeply values the friendship they share with Faye, and Faye can attest that they are a loyal and supportive friend who never seems to lose faith in her. They are also very creative and optimistic, so they tend to be a voice of reason when Faye gets stuck in her ways and has trouble seeing other options or believing in herself. Adeshae is confident in their skills and abilities, but they tend to be a little passive when it comes to making decisions and would normally just keep to themself, but their attachment to Faye means more than their comfort in relative solitude. They tend to just follow Faye's lead while offering her advice and an open ear whenever she needs it.

Backstory

Adeshae remembers very little about their childhood, but they apparently were brought to Remelda by whom they assume were their parents and left in a small village. The villagers at first took them in and communally raised them, but around the time Adeshae started school the villagers started growing suspicious of the child. Rumors went about that they may be some kind of Fae creature due to their affinity for nature, and gradually Adeshae was spurned by the villagers until they decided to leave on their own. They stated that they "answered the call of the forest" and have lived outside of society ever since.

They only started spending more time with other people after passing by a different town of Remelda and encountering a girl named Faye wandering the forest. The two quickly became friends, and Adeshae would occasionally go into town to visit her. Adeshae gradually got used to society again, although they still didn't live among these people, and they later discovered in their friendship with Faye that she was afflicted by a very strange "blessing" that restricted her life to a particular script determined for her by some unknown spirit or deity. Faye claimed she was reliving each day of her life until she acted according to the script, which was essentially a trial and error process for her, and apparently it was destined for Adeshae to be in her life. Ever since, Adeshae has promised to aid Faye in whatever way they can until she can be freed from this curse.

Faye is currently on the final day before she turns 18, and it's been her greatest challenge yet. The day starts with she and Adeshae attempting to infiltrate the headquarters of Prodractalus Corp., a corporate entity formed by the now-dissolved Sakavist corporate conglomerate. Prodractalus is known primarily as a science and engineering company that creates various technologies, although their under the table workings with Sakavist had them creating weapons. Faye's goal for her final day is to stop a prototype mechanical dragon they have been developing from inevitably escaping the lab and destroying the surrounding settlements. She hasn't been successful in finding the exact solution to this day, and her hope is starting to wane as each attempt grows more and more complicated. It has gotten to the point that Adeshae is starting to become more and more aware of reliving this day over and over despite the fact they have never been able to remember any of the "redos" that Faye has had to endure.
