Personality

Marina has one goal in life: to be a chef. Ever since she was a child, she's loved cooking and baking anything and everything, so even her parents acknowledge there was never going to be anything else she'd have chosen to pursue. As such, she is very focused and determined when it comes to pushing herself towards success in this field, constantly trying out new recipes and ironing out the kinks of old ones. As a result however, she has a bit of a one-track mind. She frequently neglects other aspects of her life like her studies or socialising in favour of planning the next step on her path to her goal. As such, she can come across as quite blunt and distant when it comes to some things, as she sees many activities as distractions. She acknowledges this as a flaw and wishes she could switch off a bit, but finds it difficult given her serious nature and often forgets to think about it until after the fact.

Though she may isolate herself into being a bit of a loner at school, she's by no means unfriendly. She has a pleasant, respectable demeanour and does try her best to be polite, even when she begins to grow frustrated by things like small talk, as she knows this is important in the sense of catering to customers in future. The exception is with the antics of her sisters, all of whom she is quick to snap at and scold. She warms up quite slowly to new people, but to friends and people she considers beneficial to her future, she is very loyal, feeling a responsibility to be as helpful to them as they are to her. For example, she appointed herself responsible for all meals in the Randall household, and tries to balance satisfaction and health for her sisters and parents. God help them if they disturb her while she's cooking or complain when it's on the table in front of them though...
