An eccentric girl who always thinks outside the box, for better or for worse. She finds great interest in weird and unusual activities and concepts, but she's also very fickle and stops caring the moment she becomes bored with them. Though very intelligent, she has no interest in school, and will often fail exams simply out of not bothering to do them.

Marigold
Maribel and her eldest sister get along decently well, which is natural considering how energetic and positive the two of them are. Marigold's airheaded moments of stupidity are a wonderful source of comedy for Maribel, who genuinely more thinks that her sister is just funny than having any malicious thoughts regarding her intelligence. While their other sisters may be put off by Maribel's eccentricity, Marigold embraces it, seeing it as similar to her own indulgence in life. However, although Marigold is the only member of their family who will willingly go along with her weird whims on occasion, she's selfishly reluctant to return the favour when Marigold encourages her to join in on social outings or join in on family activities.
Herb
Having similar unconventional outlooks on society, Maribel and Herb are best friends and a couple. They don't really devote themselves to one another entirely, as they both feel their friendship is more important to them than their romantic status and agree that a full commitment would go against their easygoing freedom-focused outlook on life. Nevertheless, the two are inseparable, cherishing each others eccentric company and often getting into some hare-brained schemes together. Their overwhelming energy rubs off onto one another and they're a lot more hyperactive and excitable than usual when by one another's side. Maribel seems to be the only person who can always get a read on Herb and tell what he's thinking, even with the most unusual thoughts he can muster, and he likewise is always supportive of her kooky ideas and activities in return.
Lum
Through her meddling, Maribel has surprisingly become one of few that Lum can actually feel comfortable around, even if he feels uneasy and suspicious of the intentions behind her friendship. The two both have a lot of creativity, leading to the occasional bizarre display of shooting imaginative ideas back and forth, which he enjoys until she takes things too far with something completely unorthodox. She's honestly interested in his wild ideas more than his film-making, so she's not above distracting him from his work for some self-indulgent purpose, so she's not exactly as supportive as she might seem. She does actually think he's a cool dude though and can't fathom why he thinks so little of himself, which sometimes gets on her nerves.
