Calem is the second of three siblings. He is a fourth-year student at the Darachsgàil Academy and an aspiring swordsman. Everyone knows him for roaming around and sowing mischief.
PERSONALITY
Opposite to his brother Andrew, Calem is reckless, mischievous and a social butterfly. Calem’s bravery is matched only by his stubbornness. He does not need any help to achieve his mischief, but he will always love to try to get his twin into his plans, in one way or the other. When it’s about playing around, Calem shows an overwhelming amount of energy that seems almost neverending, constantly seeking to challenge others to show off his skills.
But besides his naughtiest side, Calem is a young boy of an honest heart. He won’t tolerate injustice or abuse on others, not doubting stepping forward to defend the weak. He is straightforward and extroverted, and won’t lower his head easily towards anyone but his eldest.
Although he does not dislike magic at all, Calem shows passion towards the art of the sword. He is grateful that his parents allowed him to lean towards a more mixed education instead of forcing him towards the path of the wizard.
APPEARANCE
Calem has a big frame and is taller than the average boy his age. Physically stronger and with higher endurance, his flexibility is considerably lower than his siblings. He has fair, freckled skin and big golden eyes. His ginger locks partially cover his pointy ears, as well as the back of his neck and the sides of his face. He also has a slightly round face and full cheeks, as well as a moderately upwards nose.
Calem has calloused hands with wide palms, developed by wielding swords from a very young age. He may seem to be slower, considering his limited flexibility and broader features, but he is, in fact, a proficient runner.
Wardrobe
Casual Outfit [ Casual - Informal ]
Consists of a thick woollen sweater, usually of a warm colour, trousers and a pair of sturdy ankle boots. As an addition, he often carries his sword and its respective sheath hanging on the left side of his hip.
Notable Possessions
Bear Claw [ Earring ]
The family’s patriarch awarded him with an earring made of one claw. It’s proof he is a member of the clan McTeine.
Sword and sheath [ Weapon ]
A regular double-edged sword with its respective sheath—that Calem often carries on the left side of his hip—. The belts are decorated with Caerfyrian knots impressed on the leather, as well as the sheath of the weapon.
Red oak wand [ Weapon ]
This wand has little flexibility and awaits its young owner to uncover its true potential and personality.
