Gene ([Family]Maritza)

Maritza is a bit of a menace, not that she intends to be... It's just... Well, her father has endlessly doted on her and done everything within his power to make her happy, and it sure shows. If she doesn't get her way she's quick to have a tantrum (at ANY age, really), and as she grows up her demands start to get more taxing, expanding to more than just Gene's favor.

Other than thaaaaaaaaat... She's quite the sweetheart under all the clinginess and is very receptive to being as honest as she can be, wanting to make others feel welcome in putting their trust in her.
More than anything she enjoys taking the spotlight and being given her proper dues, or so she likes to think...

She was raised well enough, considering Gene took the task to himself in a time where this wasn't commonplace. Her hair isn't as nicely done as all the other girls at school "because Daddy can't do it right at all", but what she lacks in spoiling from a mother-figure, Gene makes up with his massive amounts of money... If Maritza says she needs the newest set of gorgeous clothes, she's getting it and some!

She is not the most astute child, and is mostly veering along selfishness; unless her father tells her something is important and she needs to pay attention, there's a good chance whatever's happening is going to go through one ear and right out the other. Sometimes she 'hits the mark' of reading others by sheer luck. Other times she projects whatever interests her onto people, and that in itself can make life extremely difficult for Gene-- especially when he likes someone and Maritza randomly disapproves of them....!

Likes: Her Daddy, CAKE (she doesn't quite grow out of this obsession...), science-- more on the ends of biology, her Uncle Baby, her friends at school that she bullies to high heavens, being told stories, gettin' her energy out with some monkeying around!
Dislikes: Actual schoolwork, being told to go to bed, not having a Mommy, when Daddy tells her to eat those ugly gross smelly bell peppers, when her schoolteachers tell her to go to time out...........

Trivia:
-Gene's only taken her to get her hair cut twice since she was a baby!
-She is a chocolate fiend
-She parrots what Gene tells her regarding his work for the day. She likes to imagine she understands QUITE a bit what Daddy does in his 'science building'. (insert haughty expression here!) 😂
-She can speak Italian and English, and isn't afraid to let non-Italian speakers what Uncle Baby just said under his breath.
-She's not very expressive unless she's completely awed by someone/something...! Her face is naturally 'dour' appearing, with a frown and deep eyebrows setting low. (she used to get picked on before she became the bully for it, at school...)
-Uncle Baby taught her how to tug on people's ears when they're being very mean to her. That's her and Uncle Baby's secret-- Daddy can never know.... and boy, does Gene NOT believe anything the teachers say about her 'bad behavior' whenever he goes to visit! she's an ANGEL!
