"Good luck kid. You'll need it."
A rather lazy individual, he spends his days eating smaller creatures, doesn't care about disputes with other lizards and barely gets in mindless bickering and fighting with them. That doesn’t mean he’s a total pushover though. He’s the toughest lizard yet in the area and wins almost every fight. He would rather not be dealing with that though and instead just spends his time following his friend. Although, this certain green lizard does have some unfinished business.
Likes
- Sleeping. It's what he does a lot.
- Naut! They've been getting pretty close for a while.
- Worm grass. They're quite soothing to sit and relax on.
Dislikes
- Cyan lizards. Once in a while one shows up and it pisses him off.
- Cramped spaces.
- A certain individual.
Gris, despite his battleworn appearance, is friendly and willing to hang out with others. During his time, he saved and befriended a blue lizard named Naut and after that, they have been close ever since. Unlike the other lizards of his kind, he doesn’t bother hunting down blue lizards, mainly because he doesn't really see them as food.
How did he get so strong? After a certain betrayal in this lizard's life, he swore that it would never happen again. He learned to survive the harsh reality of this dying world in order to live on and on and on. He's persistent. He doesn't want himself to get hurt again.
Abilities
- Bulk: Being a hefty green lizard does comes with its benefits. While unable to climb in his lizard form, he is able to become resistant to many things thanks to his size. Vultures? Not a problem. Worm grass? They don't do anything. Size like this gives you the upper hand in a fight.
- Charge Attack: Green lizards have a stronger charge attack compared to other lizards. They windup, before lunging and biting at their prey. Deals with them more efficiently.
Design
Design Notes
- His body is adorned with scars from many fights. Scars from spears piercing into his skin are littered throughout his back though.
- Scales on his body are rigid.
- TAIL IS FAT! His ass is fat..
- Please don't twinkify him I will get really sad.
Relationships
The two of them have been living together in the outskirts in the while, after Gris had shooed the pursuing cyan lizards away from chasing Naut. At first, he didn't expect the blue lizard to stick around with him, but with time Naut had given him the companionship he needed. Nowadays, they're getting a lot more closer than usual!
Gris seems curious seeing a young lizard all by herself. He couldn't help but feel pity, so he teaches her the ways to survive out in the world, bonding with eachother and navigating through perils and hubris. When Sofie eventually left on her own, he believes that she could reach her goal. He sees a bit of his younger self within her naivety.
A buddy pal friend of his. Lurien comes around to hangout and do small talk with Gris! It's all fun and gossip, and he gives Gris news about places where he had might not been to as well as informing him of any changes. Definitely on good terms with eachother, though Gris had to save his ass a few times from the worm grass.
History
Stagger, stagger. His hands cling at the ground at desperation, crawling to the safety of the depths of earth. His blood, he could feel seeping out of his back with spears protruding from the spine. He called and called for help, but there was only nothing. The lizard grits its teeth begrudgingly as it drags its stained body to the closest thing it could call a shelter. It hurt. It hurt so much. As he finally made his way inside, he slumped against the walls, breathing erratically. Ah, would this be the end? The lizard asks itself before closing its eyes, hoping it would subside.
It didn't, really. The spears in his back shifted uncomfortably it made him writhe in pain. He could not bear it anymore. So, the lizard grabs one of the many stuck inside his back, and pulls. He screamed, blood gushing out. He does this again, over and over until finally, the last one left his body. A sense of relief rushed all over him as he finally drops to the floor. He closes his eyes. All he could see was the shadow of a coward.
The next cycle, Gris woke up. His back was still adorned with holes. He swore to himself that such an event like this would never happen again. He walked unsteadily to reach the outside world, almost succumbing to the injuries once again. He looks up at the sky. It's a burning red blaze. The warmth of the sun turned into pent-up bittersweet anger.
Over the course of many cycles, Gris milded down considerably. These days he spends his time admiring the intricacies of the abandoned structures and world around him. The fire still remains flickering deep within though, as if it knows something is still out there that Gris denies its existence of.

Trivia
- The first lizard I had came up in mind. Honestly, his design did not differ much from what I had in my head, so I'd say. Hell yeah!
- A personal favorite of mine. I didn't think much of him at first, but yeah he's grown on me.
- Like the first muscular OC of mine ever.
