Invidia was once a lower-ranked demon who became involved with Beelzebub as he planned his initial grab for power; though cautious at first, she was drawn in quite quickly by his charisma and grand ideas. He was right, after all - why should Heaven be the ones to rule? What did they ever do to deserve it? In exchange for her loyalty, she was granted an artifact that improved her own abilities and allowed her to collect souls more efficiently, becoming one of the unofficial "Princesses of Hell".

Coming across as rather aloof, cunning, and no-nonsense, Invidia, known in her daily life as Ina, is not-so-surprisingly petty and vindictive behind closed doors. As a demon of envy, she can't stand seeing people happier or more successful than she is, and will actively scheme to knock them down a peg - you could say she has a strong sense of schadenfreude, delighting in watching others struggle and suffer. She gets huffy rather easily when challenged, bringing out a sharp-tongued sense of humor and skill for narrowing in on people's insecurities to cover for her own. She's been an effective servant for Beelzebub, putting her all into efficiently collecting souls for him - after all, a portion of the power he wins could be hers someday.
