Azcesius is naturally protective and reassuring, just as a "guardian angel" should be.  However, this is only towards those that have caught his attention.  He appears emotionless and even cold around those that he doesn't care about, but he lights up when spending time with those he has deemed worthy of protection.  Appearances and popularity don't matter to him; all that matters is creating a simple, happy life for those that he protects and cares for.  He doesn't indulge much in hobbies, but he does play multiple instruments, including the piano, clarinet, cello, and bass guitar.

Azcesius was originally created to defend a human family that wanted to be part of the last surviving humans.  They believed that a new age of humanity would come, and that they would be the progenitors.  As a result, they did not treat Karuriums with respect, including Azcesius, even though he protected them from the dangers of the wilderness.  He was still made to be kind, protecting, and harmless to humans, so he didn't hurt them directly.  Instead, he abandoned the family for a week, taking all forms of warmth and nourishment with him.  By the time he returned, there was nothing left.  Either they had run away, or were taken by the wild.

After a long period of time, in which he met Latticino and humanity fell, he moved to Elisium with Latticino.  Just as he was designed, he continued to protect others from danger - only those that he deems worthy of protection.
