Cassius
Overview
Cassius is a shy and reserved bug that interacts only with his close family and friends. He communicates through sign language, writing and (rarely) short words and he much prefers the former. Though he heavily struggles to relate with non-void bugs, he loves spending time with his siblings (dead and alive) and other void creatures.
He has a huge passion for history and soul magic and will happily share his interests with anyone willing to listen.

Demeanor
Loves nesting under blankets and pillows, and burrowing in general.
Very eloquent but tends to not say anything around new people. Will happily rant about his interests at any given time.
Very clingy and cuddly, loves physical contact. Generally will bond fast with people and shower them with gifts and affection. Hates feeling like his loved ones don't care about him as much as he cares about them.

One of the many vessels created by the Pale King and the White Lady, Cassius took it upon himself to seal the infection. As soon as he escaped the Abyss he began observing the Hollow Knight's trainings and imiting them in the hopes of impressing his father once he mastered combat.
While exploring the Ancient Basin he found a small, injured vessel whom he named Miof and tended to their wounds. Him and Miof began adventuring through the Kingdom to gather information about the plan to seal the Radiance; but in an accident in the City of Tears he lost his companion.

Cassius retired in Greenpath, desperately trying to cope with his grief by continuing to imitate the Hollow Knight. During one of his outings he found Alaan, who did the "most logical thing" and took him home. Cassius began to adapt to common bugs' lifestyle but still craved to make his father proud.
As an attempt to rejoin with his parents he travelled all the way to the Queen's Gardens, but was met only with the White Lady's cold disinterest; shattering his dreams.

After the Knight destroyed the Infection once and for all he finally settled down and cut off his parents entirely, living with his new family.

Cassius' parent and first friend, both share a very deep bond. They helped Cassius when his mental health was at his lowest, taking care of him and giving him a place to stay.
Alaan isn't fully aware of his past, nor of what the Pale King did, but tries its best to comfort him when bad memories arise.
Ruby spent most of her life unaware of how badly she was missed, but swore to make up for all the time lost. The two siblings are very close and can often be found hanging out.
Cyndi is very beloved by Cassius, and is almost constantly showered with affection by him.
Although it has some struggles expressing it, Cyndi cares deeply for Cassius, and wants to see him happy. He happily listens to his rambles and takes notes to understand them better.
Despite being quite an unlikely duo, Adder and Cassius are pretty close friends! Adder finds him a bit odd, but enjoys spending time with him, and is very interested in his passion for history.
Ikaal isn't one for making friends quickly, and Cassius has come to accept that she still hasn't warmed up to him.
Despite that, he still gives them gifts regularly, in hopes of making them like him a bit more.
