Cordyceps

A wild card loner who doesn't get along with anyone. Cordy's fighting style is hard to predict, as he'll spend a long time circling and dodging, deftly blocking incoming strikes or pins, then suddenly exploding in a frenzied rage of swipes and throws. She carefully analyzes all of her opponents, learning their strengths and weaknesses before she goes in for the kill. Occasionally he teams up with others to gain an advantage then turns on them when it benefits him. Most treat him with wary suspicion.

Zandra, the Superstar Galactica, had been watching Cordyceps from afar for a long time. She's one of the more popular faces, so her frequent appearances at Cordy's matches led most viewers to believe she was finally squaring up to take down the infamous wildcat. When the inevitable challenge came, Cordy accepted without a second thought. The fight was long and drawn out, Cordy's superior reach and tactics giving him the upper hand for most of it, but Zandra was far stronger and Cordy couldn't keep her down for long. In the end, Zandra applied her powerful Meteorite Sunder finisher and Cordy was down for the count.

Cordy expected Zandra to gloat but as soon as he was upright again, Zandra stuck out her hand and demanded an alliance. She was thrilled by the fight, impressed by Cordy's abilities, and she wanted to grow stronger with Cordy by her side. Conflicted, Cordy fled without giving an answer. Then weeks later, when it looked like Zandra would suffer a loss at the hand of her lifelong rival, Cordy appeared and rescued her, and the two have been tagging together ever since.
