Kang Jeongmin, more commonly known by his English name, Joseph Kang, is the youngest son of former WTO Director-General and Korea's current Minister of Trade, Ju Inseo. Inspired by his mother's long tenure with various UN bodies, Joseph's lifelong dream was to follow in his mother's footsteps. Early in his university studies, however, he began to be disillusioned with his mother's shifting focus to international trade policies, and Joseph himself became increasingly interested in international law.
During his internship with the UN Secretariat, he became very interested in a proposal crafted by several members of Interpol proposing an authoritative international investigative task force specialized against transnational organized crime. This proposal was eventually penned into a convention and became integrated into the United Nation's Transnational Organized Crime treaty and the task force came into existence as the United Nations International Crime Agency (UNICA). After completing his post-graduate LLM in International Law at Harvard University, Joseph was accepted into the first enrolment of UNICA special agents and is part of their Legal Attache program, the liasion between UNICA and the International Court of Law. He was assigned to the UNICA East Asia Division, headquartered in Beijing.
It is believed that Joseph has been in contact with Shrike agent Jet Shi, and has been investigating the untimely death of KNIS agent Baek Taejun.
