Erik's a very formal and polite man who doesn't have a mean bone in his body. When he's not doing his days as an officer, he also works as an English teacher at Hillview High and his classes are usually from grades ten to twelve. 

He's got a rowdy girlfriend/wife who was an ex-criminal (who he found out kept getting herself arrested so she could see him) and he lives with his younger brother (by seventeen years) Alistair, who he basically adopted after he was disowned by their parents.

All-round decent guy, but Erik much prefers to play video games or go fishing than to do work - but the bills have to get paid somehow, right?

he lives in a two bedroom beachside cottage style house and owns a large 4x4 and boat - which is docked nearby. His house is decked out with a very 'beachy' aesthetic with blues, sandy yellows, whites, and with decorations such as starfish, sailboats, and shells. He definitely has a 'gone fishing' bumper sticker on his car.
