Your name is EPSILO VOLAIN. You work under the rule of the TYRIAN QUEEN as her personal HITMAN. She sends you off to KILL THOSE WHO SHE DEEMS UNWORTHY. This usually includes MUTANTS and those who wish to DETHRONE HER or DON’T FOLLOW HER ORDERS. Especially those who wish to rebel.
Personally, you wouldn’t kill anyone out of your own will. You’re pretty easy-going. Murder just happens to be YOUR JOB. You’re the kind of guy that while YOU ARE HIRED TO CULL MUTANTS, if you saw one that WASN’T ON YOUR LIST you’d just smile and bid them a good day. One of your CLOSE FRIENDS is a mutant and she’s pretty cool, in your opinion.
You tend to only stick around HIGHBLOODS (aqua caste and higher) as the hemospectrum is something you find important and if you wanted to be treated with RESPECT, you would never be seen befriending LOWBLOODS. Especially since the INCIDENT with a little rustblood girl you once knew… you miss her. If you were seen with LOWBLOODS you would probably be punished, unfortunately. You’re NOT HEMOIST in the slightest but your ENTIRE GUARD IS.
You don’t have many interests as you’re usually too busy to partake in any hobbies. However, you do have an interest in WEAPONS and you’re usually found PRACTICING WITH THE EMPRESS’S GUARD’S STRIFE SPECUBI on your days off. If you're actually ALLOWED TO LEAVE the HQ, you go fishing. If you're stuck there and can't get into the training room? Video games.
Epsilo may look intimidating and scary, being a very tall, muscular, tattooed seadweller, but he’s honestly just a big buff cream puff and is pretty kind-hearted. He would never hurt a fly intentionally and is very gentle and soft, not wanting to bring harm to anyone. He hates his job for this reason, as he’s forced to kill people – and while he’s taught himself to feel no emotion during his raids, he very much dislikes having to hurt others regardless of their crimes. Despite all this, he does take his job seriously enough that he’s never in one place for too long as it requires him to travel.
He does, however, leave all his assignments to the last minute as he’s a horrible procrastinator and has difficulty finding motivation at the best of times. Not because he’s depressed or anything, he’s just ridiculously lazy. He would much prefer sitting with his feet up playing video games or spending his time going fishing. He has Sundays off work and being the dedicated man he is, he spends them pampering his girlfriend. He’s very selfless and would rather put other people before himself. Epsilo is definitely a family man and is very good with kids. He appears to be terribly intimidating but he’s a sweetheart who’d love to be a teacher, but alas he wasn’t able to get into that field of work, which disappoints him greatly. He holds grudges towards those that have done great harm to him or others, as he has a heavy distaste for his line of work and makes it very clear that he does.
He’s also one to keep true to his word and he never tells a single lie. He’s incredibly formal in his behaviour and speech, and is polite and proper at all times despite dressing like a bogan.
Under all that rock, he’s just a big softie. Kind of like a Rottweiler.
Epsilo is 6’8” in height and has a very broad figure with a lot of naturally built up muscle. He is toned to a point but is also somewhat chubby around the tummy and thighs. He’s got a square jaw and his nose is pointed with a large bump in his nose bridge from a time he had broken it. He has laugh lines near his eyes and can look sleepy in his expressions more often than not. His hair is short and very messy as he doesn’t brush it, and his sideburns come down into messy facial hair he doesn’t care to keep neat.
His tattoo is a full sleeve on his right arm showing a large butterfly koi swimming in a pond during the rain. His arm and most of his body are littered with scars from work and fishing, and he has a large scar on his left side. He has another tattoo of an anchor on his right shoulder blade. Epsilo’s ear fins resemble a butterfly koi’s and they’re pink and fade out to a white. They’re very large and move depending on his feelings, facing down when he’s tired or feeling awkward.
He wears very casual dress, and he often wears a plain singlet with a pink symbol and a pair of khaki cargo shorts and a regular pair of work boots. He has a uniform he is meant to wear but he refuses to most of the time, it’s shown in his gallery. Instead of his uniform, he wears a badge signifying his position on the inside of his singlet.

- Despite being the extra violent equivalent of a cop, he usually just sighs and rolls his eyes when his rouge girlfriend gets herself into illegal trouble with fighting, cannibalism, and drugs. He doesn’t really care enough, so he’ll just tell her to stop but won’t do anything to actually stop her from doing these things.
- Epsilo’s serious around other people but he’s really a big kid at heart and loves playing video games (as is already mentioned), but he also loves going to carnivals, arcades, and the like. He looks incredibly out of place amongst the teenagers there but he doesn’t care and has fun anyway.
- He plans on starting up a farm when he retires as it was something Eloise really wanted. He’s not big on farming himself, but he wants to live out her dream for her since she couldn’t.
- He doesn't like people being intimidated by him, but if anyone's harassing Mejara he won't hesitate to use his size to scare them off.

Epsilo was born under the empire’s watchful eyes and began training to be in the military as soon as he was able to hold a gun. He grew up in a violent way and was raised alongside other seadwelling boys to fight and show no mercy to anyone who dared oppose the empire’s ideals. He held those ideals for a long time until he saw a mutant get murdered in cold blood right in front of his eyes. He realised this wasn’t the job for him and it was all talk until you saw the gruesome practice in the flesh. The troll had done nothing wrong, he was only killed for simply looking different. Bright blood.
He decided to escape, and he didn’t even bother to change out of his trainee uniform and instead just took the bolt when nobody was watching. He ran and ran until he was in the nearby city. It started to rain heavily, and he knew he needed shelter so he took to a dark back alleyway and sat himself inside of a cardboard box to stay dry. He was surprised when he heard a firm voice telling him to ‘get out’ that he almost jumped out of his skin. There was a little rust girl named Eloise staring at him with fire in her eyes. She only looked to be a few years younger than him, but she looked to be very poor and possibly homeless. The two quickly became fast friends and she taught him a lot about things like how people throw out perfectly good food, how to survive on your own, and lots about all sorts of subjects. She also showed him her bottle cap collection and rambled on and on about how she’s always wanted to have a farm with lots of donkeys. Epsilo wouldn’t lie, but he’d grown a sort of crush on her and her boisterous, optimistic personality. He decided that living with her would be good, and they could be good friends and travel and eat out of bins together. That wouldn’t last.
About a week after going missing, patrols finally found him and dragged him out from the alleyway and demanded that he return with them. Eloise, being the fearless child she was, ran out in front of them and demanded they release Epsilo. Without hesitation, they killed her. She dropped dead in front of him and he was too in shock to struggle free from their grasp and they took him away, to leave El’s body to rot in the streets.
Epsilo then grew up with a severe distaste for his forced occupation. He hated his work and refused to wear the uniform. He’d often sneak into the weapon room and break weapons and graffiti walls until he was threatened with death if he didn’t stop. He still refused the uniform no matter what punishments he got and still doesn’t wear it to this day, especially since they gave up punishing him for it.
One day after leaving a few of his ‘subjects’ until the last minute, he ran into a troll called Mejara who just happened to be cannibalising the troll he was meant to be culling. He felt awkward, but showed her thanks for doing his job for him (albeit unknowingly) and took her out for what he called ‘a proper lunch’. The two got chatting, exchanged tragic backstories, and then decided to take out Ep’s last target as a team. It went horribly wrong and Epsilo ended up almost gutting himself on his giant fish hook that he used as a weapon, but they still managed to assassinate the guy they were meant to, even if it was badly. The two travelled together after that and even eventually ended up dating. Maybe finally, life was good.
Despite getting off to an awkward start, these two are in a happy relationship even though he finds Mejara quite difficult to handle. She has many habits that he doesn’t condone such as drug use, but he doesn’t really care what she does – as long as she’s not getting into trouble. He regularly has to break up fights between her and others, and tends to find himself searching for her whenever she runs off. He likes treating her on dates during easier work days and enjoys having her as a partner during their missions.
Eloise and Epsilo were like two peas in a pod and got along incredibly well and loved chatting together about all sorts of things. Epsilo was beside himself with grief after she was murdered. Eloise continues to watch over him as a sort of guardian angel as a ghost, and follows him around making sure he doesn’t accidentally get himself killed by manipulating his environment the best she can so he doesn’t hurt himself. She was the reason he didn’t die when he stabbed himself with his fishhook that day, as she redirected it away from his vital organs. She believes him to be lazy and careless, but is proud that he’s grown up to be such a strong, sensible, polite, and independent man.
Epsilo knows Hyrina as she was the royal seamstress before she was fired and replaced by someone who obviously had “more experience” because she was older. Epsilo, however, dislikes the new seamstress and finds her work to be tacky and improper, so he still sends garments and designs to Hyrina for repair and creation. He pays her generously for her work and the two talk to each other through letters sent between clothes packages.
