Asifah is the middle sister of the Amicamea family. She was a rambunctious child, taking advantage of her youngest-of-the-family status while she had it. She would often go outside to play during thunderstorms, and this habit stuck with her as an adult. During one of these walks, however, she was struck by a stray bolt of lightning. Something in her shifted, and she was able to incorporate the energy into herself rather than being destroyed by it. She now has control over lightning (and later when she learns how to use her abilities, control over the rain as well).

Despite how useful her abilities have been in keeping her family safe, Asifah is often overcome by her own temper, something that is now dangerous to those around her. She tries to keep her emotions in check, but she's become so protective of her family over the years that she finds it difficult not to lash out when one of them is hurt. She tries to get better, but can often go too far, neglecting her own needs just to keep others from getting hurt.

She gets along best with Hestia and Phoenix. Hestia tries to teach her how to be more responsible, and protect others as well as herself, always trying to make sure Asifah isn't protecting others to her own detriment. Asifah greatly appreciates the balance that Hestia brings to her life. Phoenix always has something encouraging to say, and doesn't seem afraid at all of her powers, which helps Asifah feel just a little more connected to the rest of the family.
