Profile

(You might first want to read the profiles of Sanahaid and the Skaldeleth, in that order.)

General Info

Diyahex is the older brother of Sanahaid. He's also a good faith necromancer who decided to extend his life and powers by turning into a cyborg. (That's a sentence you don't hear everyday.)

Before he became a cyborg, Diyahex was a headstrong man who was the 'leader' of his friend circle, and a fierce defender of his family. Nowadays, he's a bitter and cold individual who wants to see his family - mainly, Sanahaid - suffer.

Diyahex's voice is monotone and robotic, with a slight echo. If wounded, his voice starts glitching up.

Backstory

Ever since he was a child, Diyahex had always wanted to become as cool as his dad. But instead of becoming a copycat swole hypebeast like him. Diyahex decided to follow the path of magic and become a master warlock. Although his dad's fame gave him access to the best magic teachers, he refused, wanting to improve his magic skills on his own before seeking advice from any teachers. Although unsuccessful at first - with one failed spell scarring his upper left hand - Diyahex slowly got better and better at spellcasting.

As time went on, Diyahex became a well-rounded magician, able to do tricks in nearly every school of magic... except for necromancy. At the time, though, he was firmly against that sort of magic, like most Blyssians and Mekirai. Because of his status as a jack-of-all-trades mage, he landed a bunch of quick jobs in the local area, quickly earning a name for himself. It was around this era of his life that Sanahaid was born. Diyahex decided to teach the young moth what he knew about magic, mainly healing spells.

Despite their large age difference, the two brothers became best friends, helping each other with their problems whenever possible. Once Sanahaid had completed his medical training, the two joined the Shadow Person army and entered into a special regiment meant for Mekirai. With the brothers helping bring peace to the galaxy, and their family (and Rosemary) keeping the house and local area safe, it seemed as if the Tavagri family was unbreakable.

In 1960, the brothers were sent on a highly important mission to the desolate island of Thia. You see, their higher-ups had discovered that some strange phenomena happened on the island. (Things like dark skies in the afternoon, temperatures fluctuating from cold to hot in the span of hours, and blaring sirens out of nowhere.) After some poking around, Sanahaid found a crater with a black, sludgy mass at the bottom. The two brothers delved deeper into the crater, and things went south.

Once they got close enough, the blob became active, and attacked the duo. Despite their best efforts, the blob was too strong to kill, and so the brothers fled. Before they got out, a small part of the blob latched itself onto Sanahaid, causing his fur to turn white, as well as other effects. (See the page on Skaldeleth for more information.) While Sanahaid sat down and tried to make sense of what happened, Diyahex was very intrigued, and made his way over to a nearby island as fast as he could.

There, in the island's Great Library, he learned several useful things. Firstly, the blob that caused the phenomena was an active fragment of Ganvarrare, who was killed for defying the then-God of the Universe. What was more important, however, were rare books dedicated to necromancy. Despite his intolerance towards the dark arts, Diyahex had a plan involving them that, if successful, would destroy the remnant. In a nutshell, Diyahex would use zombies to attack Ganvarrare's fragment. It would then latch parts of itself onto the zombies, at which point Diyahex would kill them. Rinse and repeat, until the remnant was destroyed.

That way, nobody else would be possessed, and the fragment would be disarmed! Sounds good, right? Well, there's a problem; necromancy is highly forbidden in the army. By enacting this plan, Diyahex would face the risk of being arrested. And, unfortunately, that's exactly what happened - Sanahaid caught him while he was 'warming up' his skills by resurrecting a corpse. Although he didn't want to report it at first - could you really blame him? - Sanahaid reluctantly told the higher-ups about it to avoid being falsely accused of necromancy.

Long story short, Diyahex got locked away in prison for 25 years. Angered, Diyahex vowed to make Sanahaid pay for what he had done once freed, and not because he was a snitch. You see, while Diyahex was being trialed, the army had sent some Shadow People to dispose of the fragment. Consequently, this meant that Sanahaid had the last fragment of Ganvarrare in him, and Diyahex was obsessed with destroying the blob. (Unfinished business, y'see.) And so time passed quickly, and in 1990, Diyahex was a free moth.

Sticking to his vows, Diyahex thought up of a plan to get rid of Ganvarrare (and Sanahaid) once and for all. He would first find the location of the new Tavagri house; they had moved away in the interim. There, he would use his spells to resurrect some zombies and kill Sanahaid in his sleep. By doing so, he could escape Blyssia long before the finger of blame could be pointed at him. Diyahex went through with it, but it didn't go exactly to plan. For starters, Sanahaid wasn't in the house at the time. Neither was his family or the Bonnevilles - they were all on vacation.

Instead, the zombies ended up nearly killing and putting the only moth in the house into a coma, that being the sickly birth mother of the brothers. (She had the common cold and had to stay home.) Upon finding this out, Diyahex was petrified. Now an outlaw, and not wanting to go to jail again, he quickly fled to Earth in order to lay low. Since Earth didn't particularly care about crimes done in Blyssia, Diyahex felt safe, and decided to do various magical jobs under an alias. It was sometime in 2009 that he met up with Ushanka Dog, who was still part of Sol Invictus.

Needing a job, Diyahex asked her if she knew of any local offers. She did, and soon enough, Diyahex was part of Sol Invictus' "Upfront Team". In a shellnut, they're the public face of the cult - doing things like diplomacy, recruitment, management, and so on. They can also help the Backstage Team (assassins and saboteurs, in case you didn't know) if need be. Diyahex loved this job, and devoted his time to serving the Grandmaster. However, Diyahex's new job wasn't without consequences...

In 2010, the Grandmaster needed test subjects for a new top-secret project. Diyahex, wanting to stay on the Grandmaster's good side, offered himself as a subject. What he didn't know was that the project involved organ replacement and experimentation with cybernetics - basically, the very early stages of the C-Worker series. By the end, Diyahex came out of the scientific labs looking like an unfinished comic book villain, and felt somewhat hollow inside. But on the positive side, he grew much more powerful and durable as a result! (T-That's not really a positive, is it...?)

Nowadays, Diyahex mainly regulates himself to the Backstage Team, as he felt that a chopped up moth would not help the cult's PR. In his spare time, he plots to destroy "Sana-Deleth" once and for all, who had came to Earth in order to stop (and potentially) his brother.

This time, he won't fuck the assassination up.

Fun Facts

  • His favorite colors are light red and teal. Those are the some of the only colors he can see.
    • He has blue-yellow colorblindness.
  • Before Sanahaid was born, Diyahex had a name for himself in the knife-making field. He's especially good at it now that he's got cybernetic implants.
  • He really likes chinchillas and foxes. You know what animal he hates? BIRDS.
  • Diyahex can't (and doesn't need to) eat anymore. Before this, he liked salmon and grilled cheese.
    • Where'd his mouth go? Well, it was 'sewn-up', so to speak, and replaced with those robo-mandible things.
    • They removed his mouth, man!
  • Much like Sanahaid, Dia started out with four arms. But during his revenge against Sanahaid, one of his zombies bit his lower right arm, causing a severe infection. Thank god for spare arms, huh?
  • Sure, he may not look like a cyborg, but most of his improvements are hidden by his robes. He'd have to strip naked for you to see his cybernetics, and I don't think we'd want that.
  • Diyahex's blaster cannon thing has multiple modes it can choose from.
    • Apart from killing things with lasers, it can also heal wounds, paralyze limbs, and cause distractions. There's others, too, but they use too much power for his liking.
  • His favorite genre of music is big beat.
  • Compared to the later C-Worker models, he has several weaknesses that were fixed later on.
    • Most notably, he's super-vulnerable to electricity. Sure, the other prototypes are to an extent, but Diyahex will PERISH if he gets zapped by thunder.
  • Diyahex has one major fear that's survived even the roboticization... he's frightened of boats. It's a long story.
