Rin

General Info

Rin is a very, very bad person.

Outside of their 'job', they're a recluse, and tries to divert any attention they may face. Any attempts to talk to them will end in failure. They completely change during their job, however. Rin is fascinated with how bodies work, and often uses their victims as testing grounds. It does not end well. They also talk and chatter a lot, making dark jokes and such.

They almost never talk, but this is out of choice. When Rin does speak, it's always in short sentences, and their voice sounds nasally as hell.

Backstory

Here's the thing with Rin... nobody knows where they came from. This isn't some "read the spoilers to learn epic secrets" thing like Camerahead's backstory - Rin is an absolute enigma. It's almost like they popped into the universe one day, hellbent on destroying everything. (That's not their origin, by the way.) So I can't help you here for the most part.

Sometime in 2000, Rin approached Sol Invictus, and offered to kill whoever the cult needed dead. Although they were a perfect fit for the cult's shady side at first, Rin started to lose favor because they tended to, uh, kill more people than necessary. They were eventually dropped by the cult for this reason. Surprisingly, they held no grudges towards the cult.

After leaving, Rin took some time off before they joined up with a group of... like-minded individuals, and quickly became their (unofficial) mascot. Tensions quickly rose within the group, however, and Rin fled before a massive fight broke out. There were few survivors. That experience taught Rin something quite important; partnering up with people will result in some sort of failure.

As a result, they hid for several years, waiting for the remaining members to quiet down (or get sent to jail). Once the dust had settled, Rin went to the west coast of the United States, and proceeded to kill again. They're now known as the Cascades Killer, and is still doing this even after Samantha paid them a visit and stabbed their face in for being a rival in her field.

There is a reason for why they're doing the Cascades Killer murders. A very, very good reason. But now is not the time for explanations.

Fun Facts

• Such is the mysterious nature of Rin that even their species is unidentifiable.
  • Are they Mekirai? Human? Shadow Person? Blyssian? Robot?! I will never tell you the answer.
  • Ever.
• Rin's total body count is 42. Nice!
• Their least favorite animals are chickens and dogs.
• One of their favorite weapons are 'fire balloons'. Basically, they're sky lanterns that have been turned into floating molotov cocktails.
• Rin is really, really good at art.
• They live entirely off of junk food.
• They're afraid of needles, but you'd never be able to guess that.
• Once, during one of their jobs, Rin met up with Ikpam... who was sent by Sol Invictus to kill the person that Rin was killing. They never talked about it again.
• Also, they're not related to the Maldedrom or the Clones, despite wearing a similar mask to conceal their identity (and also hold their face together after what happened with Sam). Matter of fact, she'd be really disappointed in them.
• They cannot be stopped.
