EGO is best known as a paradoxical concept. Their existence bends any known universal rules yet in the same vein they are not allowed to alter the laws outside the theorem for the same rules that they cannot apply to. Thus only existing as a metaphysical being; a concept.

Thus in order to access the worlds they are supposed to observe, they use vessels to do their bidding.
