Amelie never knew her father. Her mother never spoke of him, never mentioned his name. And even though her step-father was a wonderful dad to her and her three younger half-siblings, Amelie wanted to know nothing more than where she came from. Making plans to set out to find him and explore the world when she was old enough, those hopes were halted the moment that her mother fell extremely ill. In order to help pay for her medical bills and keep her family afloat, Amelie took a job working as a maid for a noble family.

The work is certainly not the grand adventure that she had once dreamed of, and the nobles can be downright assholes at their worst, but sometimes you have to do what you must to protect those you love. In order to blow off steam, she often sings and dances at the local tavern. She still holds hope that one day she'll get to travel the world, and hopefully one day figure out the mystery of who her birth father really is.

Amelie is a very sweet young woman, with a fierce protective streak in her. Kind as she may be, she's not afraid of speaking her mind and calling people out on their asshole-ish-ness (At least when in situations when she knows it won't get her fired.) She has a strong sense of justice, and though not physically strong, she can be somewhat intimidating when telling someone off. Very stubborn in her own ways, but is more than willing to take the time to explain herself or teach others how to do something they may not have experience in. For jobs she doesn't deem as important, she tends to shirk off work, though she'll see through any self-deemed important task to the best of her abilities.

- Amelie has three younger half-siblings: the children of her mother and her step-father. She loves them desperately, and they're part of the reason she's very mother hen-ish
