Dragons, similar to Lopdiemis, are creatures of mixed reputation. To some they are fearsome, bloody thirsty creatures with a penchant for gold and young maidens. To others they bring good luck and prosperity, they bring the rain and rivers to the land. But the true nature of many may lie somewhere in the middle.
Hoshi is a quiet Lopdiemis. Dedicating her life to the kind of selflessness and self-improvement she witnessed her vessel perform before the takeover. She spends her time improving her skills and learning new things, documenting it rigorously in her journals. She does her best to help anyone in need, whether it's just to build a fence or using the innate terror of Lopdiemis to frighten away bandits and thieves. Hoshi has committed many crimes over the millennia she has lived, the guilt of which she feels all at once. She has a lot to repent for. After taking many lives Hoshi is extremely protective of all forms of Kamishiba life, doing whatever she can to keep others safe and free from terror.
Following a strict code of ethics set out by her years of watching the Kamishiba of the temple, Hoshi is an honourable Lopdiemis, always fulfilling the promises she makes and never making ones she can't carry out. She really asked for anything in return for her services, on the few occasions she does ask it is only ever for food and shelter, or a returned favour. Despite everything, Hoshi is still a Lopdiemis and the rage of her previous life still lingers below the surface. Her temper is legendary yet deeply buried. It takes a lot to anger her but any unlucky enough or foolish enough to break her patience are in serious trouble. When angry she can become violent in a way she never would be normally, sometimes even becoming angry enough to break her own code. While annoying and provoking her is a rather easy thing to do, truly angering her is a more difficult task. Hoshi constantly holds herself back, trying to hold herself to a higher standard than she holds others. She feels the need to prove herself, prove that she is more than her past and more than the nature of her species.

- After being forced out of her prison into a vessel, she decided to keep the name of her vessel to honour her
- Hoshi hates killing any living thing if she doesn’t have to
- She only eats meat when it is given to her, when picking her own meals she prefers vegetarian dishes
- Because the takeover occurred while Hoshi was in her Enchanted form, her Normal form which strongly resembled Tonbo has faded away into nothing leaving behind only the Lopdiemis in the Enchanted form's body

Once the territorial dragon and fearsome warlord held a mutual respect for each other and fell into a casual and inconsequential relationship. While they were never close nor saw eye-to-eye on anything, Bastet was still one of the only Lopdiemis that she ever had a positive relationship with. But it has been millennia and where Hoshi has changed and grown, Bastet has remained the same.
