The flower halo is such a fun design. I love his whole character design, he’s so pretty and I love his personality as a whole. But the halo is what really drew me to him. Excellent job!! I can tell you put a lot of love into creating Harahel and thank you for showing him off to us!! <3

I'm glad you like him haha, and that you find him unique :D I love neutral-aligned characters too, so I'm glad the way I've written him manages to convey this vibe. I really wanted him to be "human" personality-wise, not super angelic but not demonic either. c: Like, he's definitely not "pure good" like traditional angels, but doesn't fall too far into decadence to be classified as a fallen one.
And lmaoo I think you're the first person to actually mention his "nationality"; he was purposefully built around some French stereotypes for the lulz, so I'm glad you like this part of him too! To be honest, the first time I started to work on his bio, I was fed up with an history lesson about French political regimes and stuff... At first these influences were kept... secret, a bit like an Easter egg of sorts, but the more I worked on him and his storyline, the more I embraced it?? And I'm having lots of fun with that. :')

Since I’m his original designer I won’t comment much about the design since it’d be kind of weird haha; but I do seriously love how you managed to work the the flower halo and the little lantern into his bio! It’s a nice thing to see design elements being worked into bios, haha. I also do love the alternate outfits he has, they’re seriously so fancy and they fit him so well asdfghjkl-
But that aside, I seriously loved his bio when I first saw it and I’m loving the new additions so far?? Ok in general I do love how he’s actually a perfectionist trying to avoid trouble instead of actually being hardworking, I’ve never seen that type of characterization before. I also think an apathetic angel’s cool since usually angels don’t have that trait associated with them. I know this was pointed out a lot but I do like how he was originally a librarian apprentice angel and how he read banned books; you don’t see that around a lot so that stood out to me. I also like how he never had a problem with profanity and it how surprised other angels :’)
I also think it’s neat that he can understand any book regardless of the language and how he prefers the original is a nice detail about him. I also think how he originally became a guardian angel is also quite cool; I have a question regarding guardian angels, are they picked or can an angel just decide to be one? Sorry if this is a dumb question asdfghjkl but I’m curious. But I do like how Harahel borrows books from Olivier in secret, it’s just a detail that I liked reading :’) But I think the way that Harahel treats Olivier by leaving him to deal with difficulty by himself unless if he’s actually in danger is pretty unique since usually guardian angels don’t do that. I also love how despite that, Harahel really does care for Olivier, it’s kind of a touching detail if that makes sense?? And yet despite that I also do like how Harahel’s neutral about humans.
I think the Additional Facts section really does add a lot more to how he is as a character! I also think the Likes and Dislikes having IC explanations is a neat touch too and I like how you put his favorite books at the end.
And also: “He used to read books to Olivier when he was a little child. Sometimes it was regular children’s books. Sometimes it was The Communist Manifesto.” oh my god I’m wheezing it’s too perfect

But yeah thanks, especially when it comes to the recent additions to his bio; Harahel is one of these characters with a lot of stuff about them, but sometimes I have trouble to... actually write said stuff... Also I wanted to do my best to clear out some unclear details or misunderstandings about his character lel-
To answer your question, guardian angels are usually picked because of their reputation/skills, but if an angel wants to be one, they'll usually be able to as long as they meet the requirements. To sum up, it's just to be "mature" enough + have basic knowledge about humans. That's pretty easy but there's some exceptions who have been declined to job.
And lmaooo I know... That trivia part about The Communist Manifesto... It started as an inside joke but I've decided to make it canon fgvyhb :'D
Yeah I kind of have that same issue too, some of my bios can be pretty dark so I kind of worry about that slfskfjhsfh-
But no prob! We all have those characters that we tend to struggle writing down, lmao- and I think you did a good job clearing out some of the unclear details. And I see, I think that's a pretty neat way of putting guardian angels. And omg inside jokes just lead to hilarity aghjkl-

I haven't really developed that part yet, but I think Harahel dislikes his protégé’s cat because he thinks it's annoying; it can see him and disturbs him during his ~alone time~, lmao. I guess having an animal who can see you isn't really welcomed when you want to keep your presence unknown, haha
