Lucille is a psychic type gym leader with the psychic vision of fortune telling. Capable of reading one's future and having prophetic dreams, this gym leader uses this power to foresee challengers and make their gym battle as hard as possible. He does this to test a challenger's willpower and improvisation skills. His ability to predict his opponents gives him an arrogant edge, however, he does not use this power as often and to the extent that people think. He gives the Fortune Badge to challengers when defeated.

Appearance

Lucille wears a long black scarf with hypnotic green stripes to them. He wears a matching black-and-green open jacket with a black open vest over it. Under his jacket, he wears a thin green crop top with brown edges to it. He wears black formal slacks with matching dress shoes, as well as a black rose on his right side. His hair is purple, but its highlights are pink and yellow. Giving it a metallic gloss that is seen best under the sunset skies.

Personality

Lucille is a calm and calculated individual. One who prefers to study his opponents before he interacts with them. His strength lies in his foresight and planning, which makes him not just a fortune teller. But a capable, and cunning opponent as well.

His strange style of fashion compliments his snake-like gaze as well, which he uses to his advantage. Telling by mere looks that he is no one to underestimate. It is this style of presentation that tells those he meets that he values striking impressions first and foremost. For they can tell a lot about a person without them even having to introduce themselves. Lucille uses this philosophy to skip the formalities of introducing himself with many words. And simply relies on appearance and body language for communication. Although when he speaks to someone he's interested in, he can get carried away and verbose.

Skills

Lucille is a fortune telling psychic. And although he is no mind reader, he can anticipate what someone is like by mere appearances alone. With such intelligence, he is capable of scoping personality, strength, and overall remember a person better than most. All without using his psychic powers.

Lucille's psychic powers themselves manifest in the form of dreams and visions. Lucille often anticipates the arrivals of challengers to his gym, and uses such information to his advantage. Changing up his gym style according to whatever he witnessed from his gym. This makes his gym challenge incredibly inconsistent and annoying for even the official Pokemon League to manage. However, through prophetic dreams, he can also foresee disaster.

It is later revealed when casually interacting with him how his powers first manifested. At first in his childhood, they manifested randomly, as prohpetic dreams and visions of the near future. Like the opposite of deja-vu. Such an ability has earned him his reputation for being weird and eccentric. Even after he has mellowed down.

A medicine that can be used to fully restore the max HP of a Pokémon and cure any status condition it may have.

Max Revive

A medicine that can be used to revive a Pokémon that has fainted. It also fully restores the Pokémon's max HP.

Dream Ball

A somewhat different Poké Ball that is more effective when catching Pokémon that are asleep.

Casteliacone

Castelia City's specialty: soft-serve ice cream. It can be used to cure any status condition a Pokémon may have.

Copper

The Cofera Region's Electric Type Gym Leader. A fun trainer Lucille met in Pasio that he gets along with. Likes to play arcade games with them, but does not win very often.

Pokémon

Musharna

Lucille's lead Pokemon. A sleepy and dreamy Pokemon that is surprisingly sturdy. It is said this Pokémon is incapable of feeling pain. Although it very much is capable of being hurt in battle, this appearance makes the seemingly invincible Pokémon discourage battlers from early on.

Malamar

An aquatic Pokemon. This trickster enjoys discouraging its opponents by using Confuse Ray or Hypnosis. By keeping a challenger helpless, it takes its short and sweet time to torment its opponents. This Pokemon is great at stopping others in their tracks.

Spiritomb

A peculiar Pokemon that is not even a psychic type. It is one of Lucille's favourite Pokemon because of how hypnotic it looks.

Sigilyph

A bizarre flying Pokemon. Lucille has a strange fondness to it, as it reminds him of his culture.

Gallade

Lucille's hardest hitter. His first and only Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution, Lucille uses this Pokemon to switch up his otherwise patient strategy of messing with opponents. Sometimes switches in to this Pokemon if his opponent has a defensive Pokemon like a steel type.

Bronzong

Lucille's favourite Pokemon. The only shiny in Lucille's team, this Pokemon uses Trick Room to its advantage. This ancient Pokemon is Lucille's partner Pokemon. One he had met when young as a Bronzor.

The challenge Lucille gives the protagonist depends on whichever starter they have chosen, as well as the current types of their party. The battling trainers in the gym will always have advantageous Pokemon in terms of type matchups. However, Lucille will always have the same party. Which Pokemon he uses first, however, depends on the Pokemon leading your party. If he cannot find an advantage to the challenger's Pokemon, he will start with his Bronzong.

• This style of battle that Lucille has in his gym battle resembles the data-reading that Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid does on your game file. Except Lucille reads the current save file for the actions taken prior to his meeting, and reads the protagonist's party to determine what he does in battle.
