220px-Violence_Jack_volume_1.jpgIn Violence Jack, the young woman who seems to hold a resemblance to Aiko, holds the name of "Ai" instead of "Aiko", and while her backstory is present and has been explored, it sounds more like someone else is telling the story, rather than Ai herself in the monologues. She explains the story in third person, and even though she was referring to herself, at the same time, it sounds as though she had nothing to do with what was happening, despite telling the memories that she believed were her own.

Ai was 16 years old when she was orphaned due to the Kanto Earthquake. Her parents had perished in the harsh tremors by deprivation of oxygen and the rubble crushing them to the point where they couldn't breathe. With nowhere else to go, she wandered around the broken streets and empty lands with no idea of where she was going.

It was becoming harder and harder to find means to survive, especially when food, water, and other necessities belonged to rogue groups that were not willing to share their goods for free. Ai was broke, and with the collapse of Japan's economy, she knew that she had to give up her body in exchange for needs to survive. It disgusted her having to give up her virginity to men she had no business with, but with everyone having gone savage and letting out their "true animalistic instincts", as she described, she knew that she had no other choice but to do the very same.

For a while, she had to wander around the empty realm of Kanto as a prostitute, exchanging sex for goods. Getting money would be considered a bonus to her, but she craved for something much more than simple intimacy. At first, she thought that what she needed, was love. She wanted love that she could share her troubles with, and they could provide each other by any means. However, she later came to the conclusion that what she wanted was much more than that, and it was power. She wanted to have a place where she could stand as someone who no one would dare mess with, but follow along with whatever she wanted out of blind loyalty and respect. At first, she didn't have a place to quench that desire, until she noticed the heretics.

It took quite a bit of convincing, but after plenty of talking, Ai was allowed into the heretics, but she started off in the lower ranks.

However, it didn't take her long to start moving up in ranks where she continuously gave her ideas in strategies to the heretics when it came to pulling ransoms, or ambushes, and while a few of the ideas have failed, several of them proved to have been successful. Because of her growing status, she began to grow respect from the heretics, and was even able to grow a cooperative relationship with the leader of the group: Nishikori Tsubasa.

Things were fine for a while, until the arrival of the duo: Mondo and Mido.

Though their arrival to her was unexpected, she decided that perhaps, she could manipulate the men to work in her favor. To her, Mido seemed easy to bring him to submission, but with Mondo next to him constantly, it was difficult to even get close to have a personal chat with him. Despite this, she continued to plot. Later on however, she found herself moved by Mondo's confidence, and the passion he had in his hunger for power, much like her, which resulted in Ai falling into a romantic and sexual attraction towards Mondo. So much so, that there was a scene that implied that she was masturbating the night Mondo and Mido left to learn about the gold's placement, the golden army, and Violence Jack himself.

Mondo killing Cross was the moment Ai let out her true colors, admitting to Mondo that she had been planning on killing him for a while as a way to move up into power, and expressed her gratitude and feelings to Mondo, explaining how she was willing to do anything for him as a way for the two to rise into power together. While Mondo did agree, unknowingly, Ai never realized Mondo's ulterior motives in his agreement. He planned on tossing her to the side after sedating his sexual urges once he had stolen the gold from El Dorado, for he never held romantic feelings for her in return, but decides to accept her offer since he thought she could be useful.

However, after Mondo's death, Ai was left to mourn for her one-sided lover and was later decapitated by Violence Jack. Thus concluding her story, and character arc.
