Adolescence

After Sylix' 10th birthday he knew the ends and outs of his new home as what he now knew to be Fel-Onyx Citadel. He was a lonely child, as most others were scared of his appearance and rumors overheard through higher-ups. But eventually at 12 he came to meet a boy around 4 years older than himself called Aeiton. Sylix never really favored his Putere, it makes him uncomfortable and he blames a lot of his downfalls on it. Aeiton however found this quite useful at the time. Sylix looked up to Aeiton, he'd basically been completely taken in by AZO. This dynamic was awful for Sylix, Aeiton would often take advantage of Sylix and use him for his own gain. But he was the only person Sylix knew as a friend, his brother was rarely around to even talk to anymore.

Aeiton would introduce many things to young Sylix, most of which in an unhealthy manor. When Sylix was 15 there was a mission Aeiton had been hired to go assist, in which he convinced Sylix to join him. Children under 18 are typically not allowed on important missions like this, so the opportunity was scary but inticing because he knew it'd make him look cool to his peers. Aeiton would sneak him in, insisting AZO told him he could. The mission had been going smoothly, with Sylix falling behind and out of sight for most of it, but he had the idea to help Aeiton by coercing a nearby guard into getting some information with his Putere. When Aeiton saw this attempt he was offended greatly. He brought Sylix intending to show him his place, how weak and broken he was compared to the others, he erupted at Sylix. Talking about how he would be dead without the people around him, he COULD be dead in an instant if Aeiton decided to leave him at any moment. Picking a piece of cloth from the wall nearby and a lighter from his pocket he begins to explain that fire is evil, and it burns the weak like Sylix to an ember. Proceeding to throw the dying fire on the cloth to the feet of the guard nearby who he knocked out before ranting to Sylix who he'd left in pity.

The team of four had completed their mission, making their way out of the building they'd been in when one of them notices the smell of smoke. Making their way to another room they begin to see the raging fire, tearing at the wood of the building and forming clots of smoke. This was an unexpected bump, none of them were suited for fire and they were meant to be undercover. They needed to flee ASAP. As the team begins to banter on what happened the building starts to crumple around them and they hear paniced footsteps and murmuring. Aeiton identifies an exit while the others are in a state of panic, concluding his yelling and storming over to lead the others out when something from above falls, Sylix catches it on impulse. Protecting the two others behind him and creating a safe path, the fire begins to consume Sylix as Aeiton stares at him for a second, letting the others escape before he follows without any attempt to save Sylix.

The 3 find themselves outside the burning building noticing the crowd not too far from them in panic trying to put out this fire. Aeiton urges them to quickly leave the area when they hear "AEITON" shouted from the fire, one of the members realising this voice meets Sylix making his way to the door they came from, severely burned down the left side of his body. his shirt removed into ashes and his pants sooted as his only protection, they make their escape to FOC and a medic. Sylix is recovered well with the help of anothers regenative Putere, praised for his bravery and heroism he became extremely popular as the young hero who'd been mistakenly brought on an extremely difficult mission gone wrong. Aeiton, on the other hand, was scolded massively by AZO who found out about his tricks as soon as they returned from their mission.

After this major event in Sylix' life he stopped talking to Aeiton, as it was quite obvious between the two he intended to leave him for dead in that fire. Sylix avoided making any friends, even after his spike in popularity. He went on very few missions especially after another bad experience where he recieved a busted eardrum in his left ear.

Adulthood

Turning 18 was a turning point in Sylix' life. He understood he had no obligation to stay or work in FOC since he was no longer under anyones supervision. Not long after his birthday and talking with his brother about his life, he decided to take a trip to the nearby City Etzal. He had never fully experienced life outside of the FOC community, seeing the city was an inticing thing for him, dreaming of what it'd be like to have lived in such an active society. He'd wonder around people watching and wondering into shops for a few days until he found himself on the city's beach near sunset. This is where he meets Luelle and Kinley, after being stung by a native creature they bring him to Kinleys shop and they help hiim recover.
