Makwa is not part of the royal lineage, but he is part of a trusted family adjacent to the royals. (very affluent family, to put it mildly)
arweninterests him greatly compared to ota's own interest... and is a new point of contention among their friendship.
he is a gadabout and 'charming' lad, just as his best friend Ota. he oftentimes lets his impulses lead him into bad situations, especially where other people are concerned.
he highly prizes beauty. that being said, he has a tough time showing those ideals oftentimes, coming off brash and a bit crude if left unchecked.
