Inspired by and a derivative work(s) of VynxCodes' HTML Pride Flags, now available to the public now that Vynx has graciously granted me permission. Like the pride flags, these are almost entirely in HTML with the exception of MANY with images inside them and should work exactly like the pride flags would because I'm using them as the basis for many of these flags. Therefore, if you'd like to do cool stuff with the flags, there are things in the codes you can add/change available on the OG Pride Flag listing and they'll mostly work the same EXCEPT RESIZING *TO A DIFFERENT ASPECT RATIO* because I specifically designed these flags to work with the aspect ratio they're already in. I can help you with editing the flag's images to work in different aspect ratios if you need it though! If you need code help, however, I probably can't help you because I'm only pretending to know HTML- maybe ask here! (If it's simple I can try ._.;)
These are free to use with or without credit or linking back (credit my main or storage, idc)! Feel free to edit to your liking.* Also, this should go without saying, but just because a flag is on this list does not necessarily mean I support the actions of that country's government in history or the present-day.
Currently a massive WIP; Flags for all UN-recognized states and then some will be made eventually, but seeing which ones to prioritize making sooner rather than later would be helpful- comments are open for these "priority requests" (ping my MAIN account) but no novelty/niche/fun flag requests for now please. Read these rules before making a request:
-Double check that I haven't already made your desired flag! Link a picture of the flag you want in your comment so I'll know I'm using the right one.
-Your flag must currently be in use; I will not share historical flags here. If you want a historical flag, make it yourself, don't credit back here, and do your damn research first. *Do NOT deface any of the flags I have made with hate symbols. You are responsible for any backlash you may receive for displaying these flags.
-I am only doing national/state flags, not flags that specifically represent political or religious ideologies, affiliations, or movements. Like historical flags, you make these on your own and do not link/credit back here. You are responsible for any backlash you may receive for displaying these flags.
Not necessarily request rules but other things you should know before commenting:
-If I accept your request, the code will be added to the list for others to use; private personal requests should be done via PM (When they're open).
-Feel free to show off flags you made yourself, with or without code! If it's for a flag that sees common use or could see common use, I may ask your permission to add it to the list with a credit note to you.
All codes are available at this GitHub link. Use Ctrl+F to find a flag easier! Live previews are on the side tabs; can't find your country? If it's transcontinental, check the other continent it's a part of! Otherwise, I may not have added it yet.
Recent Update Log (latest 1/22/24): added two flags to Africa, two flags to Asia (three if you count a different version of one) and three flags to Europe. Also updated Minnesota's flag in the live preview to the new design set to become official in May- both that design and the old one are on GitHub now, but I'll remove the old one after May 11th.
- Africa: added Cape Verde (Cabo Verde) and Central African Republic
- Asia: added Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan (2023); the previous (better) Kyrgyz flag is on GitHub if anyone wants it, but the live preview uses the new flag.
- Europe: added Albania, Belarus, and Bosnia and Herzegovina
- North America: COMPLETE (excluding dependencies); no updates // US states: COMPLETE; updated Minnesota. The old flag will remain on GitHub until May 11th, when the change becomes official.
- Oceania: COMPLETE (excluding dependencies); no updates
- South America: COMPLETE (excluding dependencies); no updates
- Other: no updates
