Max is a rebel with a cause. Problem student by day, problem teenager by night, Max's antiestablishmentarian nature often gets her in trouble with the school, the law, or her dad. Still, Max won't take anyone's crap and gives just as good as she gets.
Spider-Bright is wicked awesome! She's passionate about justice and the environment just like Max is, and flusters her in a way nobody else has before. Not that Max is actively seeking more dangerous situations to put themselves in just so Spider-Bright can swoop in and come to the rescue... nahhh.

Nothing interesting ever used to happen here. Well, maybe things were interesting for some people, but not for Gwendolyne Maxine Stacy. A piece of work and posterchild for rambunctious youth, Max was her neghborhood's --and then school's-- troublemaker for years, until out of the blue a superhero showed up at Canyon Coast to fend off some villain! Max doesn't really remember; all their focus was on this mysterious masked woman. Ever since then, Max has had competition for the title of Canyon Coast's Most Controversial, and she couldn't be happier about it! She's seen Spider-Bright try to keep her distance from Max for some reason, but they have been communicating over tweeter of all places. Maybe Bright's just shy?
SAM SUMMERS friends...
Sam is... well, she's Sam! Turned Max's whole world upside down, interested in what Max talks about, dyes Max's hair... The bestest friend Max has ever had.
Gloria is killer on the keys, and she's good to talk with to boot! Gloria always keeps Max level, and Max would like to think they liven up Gloria's life in turn.
Mariella has it all and does it all. 'Cept for keep her promises to Max, apparently. Max gets it-- they haven't exactly been a model student lately. But shutting them out? Uncalled for. Whatever. They'll find another bassist for the band.
