Sam is a colorful girl in a colorful world. By day, she's a student at Canyon Coast highschool who enjoys biking with her friends and hiking trails without alerting "Get out of that restricted zone!" park ranger George Stacy.
By night (or sunset), Sam adorns her suit and patrols the city as Spider-Bright, a jovial and charismatic superhero using her golden-orbweaver silk to make flashy arrivals and ensnare the villains who threaten her city! Things have been getting a lot more hectic after Oscorp started endangering protected wildlife and threatening forests and parks, but it's nothing Spider-Bright can't handle! Juggling superhero status is a difficult task, but Sam's biggest problem right now is calculus.

Sam Summers has never been particularly good in any field, so upon realizing her superhuman abilities and the potential she now had to really help people, she threw herself into the life of being Spiderwoman. Not being able to save everyone was a uniquely crushing and altering phenomenon for her, and she had to deal with it all by herself. Or, she did, until the sky itself cracked open one day, bright orange and magenta clashing with her saturated blue cloudless sky. The chance to join a spider society and meet people who really understood her was too enticing to resist! She still comes home regularly though... turns out you can spend too much time with yourself! Currently, Sam is still a little bitter that she missed the chaos that was incurred last week by a spiderman named Miles. Nobody will say anything about him or what he did either...if she isn't careful, Sam's curiosity will get the better of her. Maybe it should?

Mariella runs Canyon Coast. Head of journalism, facilitates debate club meetings while being class president & taking every AP class known to high-schoolers... just so happens to also be friends with Sam.
