Ryojin

• He seems to have some african-american heritage
• His hair is completely white and he wears it very short
• He has albinism, so his eyes are a pale red
• Despite being quite muscular he is very slender

One could think that he is a dangerous man at first glance, but he wouldn‘t hurt a fly - at least not without reason. Generally he is very quiet and almost stoic, rarely talking without being spoken to. He mistrusts anyone and everything, getting defensive easily and he could lash out if he feels endangered or trapped.
Since he‘s with Raphael it has gotten better, but one shouldn‘t surprise or touch him without warning since there‘s a high chance he‘ll react with a punch out of reflex. He shows some signs of PTSD  and has a fear of losing people precious to him.
If he gets triggered he can fall into a state where he pushes his mind back to protect himself, but in turn gets very dangerous himself, possibly hurting or even killing anyone that is just slightly threatening towards him.

He was born to a prostitute, who dearly loved her son. She really wanted to get out of her not so bright life, but Ryojin's constitution was so bad that she had to give all her money for buying medicine. Sadly, he did not get much better and she had to work even more, almost to the point of breaking her own body. When he was 5 years old his health finally seemed to turn to the better and she dared to tell her procurer about her plan. He was not amused at all. As albino, many customers wanted her and she was one of his priciest prostitutes - not that she ever saw anything of all that money. He made a shady deal with her. If she continued to work for him over the span of one year, he'd let her free and give her enough money to buy a little flat. Not thinking about any consequences and blinded by this, she agreed. Now, the procurer sold her to anyone who wanted to have her for a few hours, no care how brutal the customers were. As a result, she was beaten to death by one of them. Poor Ryojin did not only watch the gruesome scene without being able to save his mother, but also held her misused, broken body in his little arms as she breathed her last words. He ran away after he was threatened to be killed himself, but having not known any other people he ended up on the streets. Because he became very aggressive when someone attacked him, he was often misused by gangs for fights and then left lying on the ground, beaten and hurt. He lost all trust in other humans and did not really have any will to live left. The only thing that kept him from just killing himself were his mothers last words. At some point, he was taken in by a organisation that also wanted his strength, but he was not cared for properly and even his mental health went down along with his body health. He ran away once again, went to the top of a skyscraper while despairing over his life and finally let himself fall off the edge of the roof...and was saved by a man with huge glowing wings on his back. Ryojin was brought to another, but very similar dimension and here he was finally cared for and given what he needed most. A bit of love.

He‘s been living with Raphael ever since, getting better through his care. It didn‘t take long for them to fall in love with each other and now they are very happy just being together.
