Symon Cantillio's Links
Aniso and Symon are quite close. Aniso was the first one to find Symon after he was transformed and went out of his way to nurse him back to health and teach him about miinu life. When Symon decided he wanted return the rune stone and cure himself, Aniso was by his side the whole adventure.
Aniso has greatly helped Symon come out of his shell and find himself, and Symon provides the consistent companionship that Aniso needs.
Aniso helped out Symon because he naturally has a desire to help people, but he found Symon particularly interesting and strange. When he found out about his situation, it made him want to help him even more. Aniso believes that if he fixes Symon's outward problems, he'll feel better, but he quickly comes to realize that Symon has deeper issue that can't be so easily fixed.
Symon eventually convinces Aniso that it's okay that he doesn't fix everything, and to focus on himself more.
Symon was initially quite intimidated by Ves's aggressive demeanor and was anxious about letting her tag along. He was baffled that she would just abandon her family the way she did, but it'd be Ves's story that would eventually make him realize how poorly he'd been treated by his own family.
At first Ves saw Symon as a whiny pushover, but would soon start to relate to his struggle with familial neglect and abuse. She'd be the one to convince him that he's not responsible for how his family feels, and that he needs to cut them out.
She's quite protective over Symon.
Symon is uneasy around Cullen. Cullen reminds him of many unpleasant, scummy salesmen he's met and worked alongside in the past. Cullen represented everything he was afraid of becoming if he got sucked too far into his job. All the more reason he began to feel empathy for the man when it became clear that his career was literally killing him.
Cullen was intrigued by Symon from the moment they spoke. Symon clearly knew his way around a bargaining, being a salesman himself, but more so, the smell of his blood made it clear he was no ordinary miinu. He saw Symon's connection to humanity as perfect opportunity trick Symon into using his magic to do so. Even after it went horribly wrong, Symon still showed him empathy and gave him a second chance.
