Kithood

Bluepaw has always been a mama’s boy. Alongside his sibling, Tealkit, Bluekit was born to Pearlbloom of RiverClan. His father was… somewhere. Honestly, it did bother Bluekit a bit, knowing that somewhere there was a cat he shared blood with who simply didn’t care about him. But at least he had Pearlbloom!

From an early age Bluekit tried to make himself useful around camp, offering to bring prey to the elders, help the meddie sort their herb, clearing out stale moss from the nursery. Anything he could do, he would do. Bluekit often got praise for his thoughtfulness and this annoyed Tealkit a fair bit. She also wanted praise and this caused the siblings to bicker constantly.

Pearlbloom was quite protective of Bluekit. The sensitive little tom would often end up in tears after an argument with his sibling. Even so, Bluekit kept up his habit of helping his Clanmates however he could.

Apprenticeship

Apprenticed to Lilystream, Bluepaw's training began in much the same way any other apprentice's would. He was relieved to be given such a kind and caring mentor and looked up to Lilystream a lot.

Bluepaw’s apprenticeship wasn’t a very big change to him. Only difference now was that he could go out and train on RiverClan’s wider territory. Swimming was a favourite pass time of his, and Bluepaw could often be found around the shell pools either lounging in the relaxing water, showing kits how to swim or collecting shells to gift to his Clanmates.

Even so, his hard work would earn him praise and once again, Tealpaw would start the bickering. If Pearlbloom wasn’t around for him to go to, Bluepaw would head to the ThunderClan border, anywhere really, as long as he had some space to collect himself.

One day while collecting shells at the Shell Pools, Bluepaw was apprached by a strange pale cat with a flower for an eye. She honestly made him nervous and he couldn't help the nagging feeling that something was very, very wrong about the entire interaction. While Swanflower was... nice, there was something about their encounter that just made him want to run. Which he did.

Other than that, his life went on as usual with training and getting to know his Clanmates. He never mentioned his encounter with Swanflower to anyone. Honestly, he was still a little too freaked out about it and as a result, refused to go to the Gathering. Just in case he saw someone watching him with one flower for an eye...

Bluepaw's training carried on as normal and he ended up excelling in both hunting and fighting, managing to perfect his land hunting skills while he was at it. He continued to be his usual, happy self, despite his growing unease about some of the older toms in his Clan. To mitigate his own worries he even attempted to befriend Lakeshade, to... well, he wouldn't call it success, but it was certainly something.

Then, everything seemed to shift violently in a way he never could have seen coming. Lakeshade had been lying to the Clan? He was being demoted... something he admitedly wasn't choked up about, but he was allowed one last decree. He exiled the very cats Bluepaw had been so worried about, Leopardstalk and Stormgaze.

Choas erupted when Stormgaze attacked Lakeshade and took one of Redstar's lives. Bluepaw jumped in without even thinking to protect his mentor, clinging onto the old tom's back as best he could before being crushed and clawed. Thankfully, Floodcurrent was able to kill the crazed tom. But, they weren't completely successful. Leopardstalk had kidnapped Tigermoth, but the medicine cats was clever enough to have kept Lilystream up to date on healing skills.

Warrior

When his injuries were mostly recovered, Bluepaw was given his Warrior name, Bluestone for his unmoving loyalty to his Clan. But with the cold from Leaf Bare hitting hard, his injuries continued to cause him problems and despite his best efforts, Bluestone couldn't hunt as much as he wanted.
