Lilystream

A pretty, warm-gray long-furred tabby she-cat with thick fur and webbed paws like her Riverclan father. She has blue eyes and a light tannish belly. She's bigger than average, though not quite as large as her father.

She's very friendly to cats regardless of clan and while she respects and follows the warrior code, she doesn't quite understand why parts of it are necessary. Lilystream can be flirty with toms she likes, even if they aren't from her clan. However, she's loyal to the cats who took her and her siblings in and wouldn't think of actually leaving her clan. While more timid with some cats in her clan, she’s still very talkative to those she’s friends with and enjoys being around them. Lilystream tries to stay on civil terms with those who don’t like her but no longer tries to make them not hate her like she’d attempt as an apprentice.

PRE-RP(20 moons at start of rp)

Lily and her siblings, Flood and Aspen, were born to a loner named Briar and raised outside of the clans without knowledge of their father. When they were still young, Briar fell deathly-ill and took them to Riverclan to be raised by their father. The kits were taken in— as Lily and Flood's webbed paws indicated they had Riverclan blood—and deemed healthy by the medicine cat despite their father (Lakeshade) keeping silent and not claiming them as his. Too young and unaware of who their father was, Lily and her siblings were unable to point out who he was while Briar had been too weak to notice the tom lingering in the back of the crowd to call to him.

When the three became apprentices, Lilypaw first tried to be a medicine cat apprentice under Vaporleaf’s mentorship for a moon alongside their other apprentice, Tigerpaw(moth). It took a lot of work, but eventually her fellow medicine cat apprentice began to warm up to her more talkative and outgoing personality. She liked helping cats rather than fighting, and the slacker restrictions on borders was nice too, but unfortunately Lilypaw didn't have a connection to Star Clan. With the stars silent to her and the uneasy feeling Leopardstalk gave her, Lilypaw decided to step out of her position.

Lilypaw would then become a warrior apprentice instead. Lilypaw's lax view of the border code meant several instances when she'd accidentally cross them without thinking. She began making plenty of friends outside her clan, Dustpaw(storm) being one of them, which started a rift between her and Floodcurrent. Due to missing a moon of training, she became a warrior a moon later than her siblings Floodcurrent and Aspensplash. By then her relationship with her brother was strained. He was protective but frustrated with her loose following of the code. Their sister, Aspensplash, is often a mediator between them when things get tense.

DURING RP

Lilystream was happy to go hunting with Floodcurrent, Cuckoocall, and their leader Redstar. She would gain some insight from her leader while they fished and Lilystream would express her desire for the clans to get along better—she’d also mention briefly an idea that she’d pondered about sharing the rocks with Thunderclan rather than spilling more blood over the location.

Later on, she would go on a casual patrol with Clayfoot, Aspensplash, and her apprentice Bluepaw. During the trip, she would gather a small amount of herbs for Tigermoth and encourage Bluepaw to learn more about Aspensplash’s hunting technique.

While disappointed her apprentice decided not to go to the gathering, Lilystream was thrilled to speak with her Windclan friend, Duststorm. While she hadn’t noticed it at first, she would hear about the argument the deputies had and Lakeshade’s part in it. She worries what he might try in the future.

The next moon was filled with gloomy skies and rainy days. A lot of the territory began to flood. To top it off, not far into the moon, her brother Floodcurrent was one of three Riverclanners sent on a journey after receiving a vision from Star Clan. While proud to know their ancestors think so highly of her brother, she missed him greatly and worried about his safety.

But she wouldn't be able to focus on that. Redstar had decided to bring her along to Sunningrocks to discuss a peace treaty between Riverclan and Thunderclan. A great idea indeed! Lilystream happily came along to bear witness to the event, though was uneasy with Lakeshade also joining. Nothing happened and she even got to speak a few words of input. While Dawnstar didn't seem entirely convinced, it gave her hope to see him agree to a trial run.

Much of the rest of the moon was spent hunting and teaching Bluepaw. She was so proud to see how well he did hunting land prey and a sparring session equally impressed her. He was young but a quick learner and she enjoyed their training sessions. Even better, he now has a hunting skill that many older Riverclanners don't have. Hunting land prey certainly helped them a lot this moon and could in the future as well.

She stuck close to the leaders, specifically Redstar, at the gathering. Lilystream was sad to see her friend Duststorm hadn't made it, hoping to introduce Bluepaw to her, but learned of her being called away on Star Clan's mission. She can't wait to see her again and catch up—Duststorm will surely have a lot to tell her! Other than some brief moments of tension between Riverclan and Thunderclan, she just enjoyed watching Bluepaw socialize from a distance and hopes he had fun. Lilystream kept close to Redstar's side as the clan went home, doing her best to ignore Lakeshade's silent presence on her leader's other side.

Making sure Bluepaw was going to be ready to pass his upcoming assessment and being glad to see the Star Clan mission cats return soon went to the back of her mind going into the next moon. Redstar would pull her and her two littermates into the leader's den, revealing Hailfall had come to her in a dream and proclaimed Lakeshade as their father. The shock of being related to such a cat hit her hard, though she could see more of their father in Floodcurrent—not that she'd mention it aloud to him. Lakeshade was brought in, speaking his part upon being informed his secret was out and he would be removed from the position of deputy. Lilystream expected him to deny it but instead he'd offer to discuss about their mother should they wish. He'd go on to make an excuse that this lie had been to keep them safe from cat's like Stormgaze. From there, the conversation seemed to derail as he turned on Redstar, blaming her for not doing anything to create the clan she dreamed of Riverclan being.

A meeting would be called. Lilystream stuck close to Aspensplash and Floodcurrent as their father was outed before the clan as their father and that he had one last act to do before being replaced as deputy. Not that he got to finished his exile of Leopardstalk and Stormgaze. Lilystream watched in horror as her grandfather mauled his own son, shouting insults all the while. Clayfoot would defend Redstar as the elderly tom went for their leader next while all she could do was stand and watch as he too was swatted aside. It wasn't untili Redstar hit the ground, blood pooling around her, that Lilystream found herself leaping into action. Even with Redstar already losing a life beneath her paws, Lilystream desperately tried to save her. Only Rainbreeze's pleas for help made her, reluctantly, come to Lakeshade's aid. The bleeding was so bad she didn't even know if he'd pull through but she did her best with the cobwebs Rainbreeze could find to stablize him. Stormgaze's rampage hadn't stopped though and she found him charging toward her only for Bluepaw to come to the rescue. He'd get rolled off and clawed at before Floodcurrent jumped into the fight as well. It was bloody but ultimately a short fight once her brother's jaws locked around Stormgaze's neck.

A mess. The earth was stained and likely would be for a while. Lilystream was thanking the stars when she saw Redstar return to life. Tigermoth and Shadepaw were nowhere to be seen so she began taking it upon herself to gather the injured Bluepaw and Clayfoot and bring them to the medicine den. A fight seemed to have gone on inside too, explaining the missing healers. Lilystream found what herbs she could and began their treatments, including Floodcurrent's once he joined them, but this new issue would need taken care of. Tealpaw seemed to be missing as well after Bluepaw noticed. Cats would be sent out to find Leopardstalk and hopefully the missing cats but no luck on finding them. Lightningstar would return Shadepaw and Tealpaw the next morning with a brief explaination and in turn was advised to keep an eye out for Leopardstalk and Tigermoth.

Lilystream would happily congratulate Clayfoot on becoming deputy a few days later. Meanwhile, she would continue helping Shadepaw with any medicine cat duties—along with Tealpaw supporting the medicine cat apprentice. Lilystream still hopes Tigermoth might turn up soon but as the moon continues coming to a close she fears her friend might never be found.

She would attend the gathering, trusting her siblings back home to keep the clan safe if Leopardstalk returned. While there, she met Flickerpaw, accidentally upsetting him when she asked how Duststorm was doing. Fogstone would explain that her friend was no longer in Windclan and Lilystream apologized for upsetting Fogstone's son, asking him to pass her apology along to Flickerpaw since the apprentice had already ran off. Howlingwind would approach, breaking up the conversation and leaving Lilystream wondering if she should leave the siblings to discuss alone. However, she would overhear that Windclan and Shadowclan planned to have training sessions with their apprentices together before she dismissed herself. As the gathering came to an end due to the weather, she would ask to talk to Clayfoot and Redstar later about what she'd heard before heading off to round up some of their clanmates to go back home.

Despite Tigermoth still missing and the rivers frozen, Lilystream has been holding up well in the recent moons, unlike her sister who she worries for after Aspensplash once more fell ill. She still helps Shadepaw where needed but otherwise focused on Bluepaw's warrior assessment and watching proudly as he became Bluestone. The arrival of Russetkit and Spottedkit was a surprise. There would've been a bigger wedge in her relationship with Lakeshade if there had even been a relationship to begin with! Seeing him in the nursery with her younger siblings was painful initially, though she loves spending time there with the two and her new nephew Rabbitkit. Lilystream has made it clear that she's always happy to watch any of them if Ottersplash needs a break or when Lakeshade is out of the den. Aside from Russetkit who can be rather rude, she's definitely feeling kitten fever over getting to take care of Spottedkit and Rabbitkit.
