Profile

Initially a hostage taken by the Burning Red Pirates, a former noblewoman who then refused to leave the ship, due to an unrequited infatuation with Prince. As such, she is a self-appointed member of the crew, despite being largely unwelcome aboard.

Ate the Vino-Vino Fruit (Paramecia) and became a wine human, allowing her to secrete and manipulate wine from her body. Unfortunately, as desperately as she'd like to get hammered, she is unable to get drunk off of her own wine.

Born on the musical island of Elegia, she of course had a passion for singing, and her talents as a child were highly regarded. Training in the kingdom's musical academies, the young Fonia was soon loaned out to perform abroad as part of her education. Perhaps fortunately, she was on one such tour abroad when Elegia fell to the Red Hair Pirates (or rather, to Tot Musica, unbeknownst to her and the rest of the world). Though she was spared from the grim fate of her homeland, her family, friends and teachers had all been slain, leaving her orphaned and alone.

With no reason to return home (the world unaware of King Gordon's survival and the oncoming genesis of Uta), she was instead taken in by a family of nobles who'd attended her latest performance. They were not a loving family, only superficially interested in her talent as a survivor of Elegia and never truly treating her as their daughter. Though this left her pained, their fortune and nobility meant Fonia was never left wanting for material goods,  and she was raised from then on as a spoiled brat. As such, she became a rather snobbish woman with small-minded views, looking down upon people for any reason ranging from their species to the way they dress. She is generally considered unpleasant to be around, yet has quite an ego despite this, similarly to the Celestial Dragons she admires.

Eventually, she was kidnapped in an ill-advised scheme by the otherwise good-natured Burning Red Pirates, who held her for ransom. Unexpectedly however, she got a crush on the crews' navigator, the royal runaway Prince, and began trying to seduce him despite her position as a hostage. When her adopted family attempted to short-change the ransom, Fonia was furious and too stubbornly prideful to accept her own release. Without approval, she publicly declared that she'd instead decided to become a pirate and join them, shocking both the crew, her family, and the world at large. With her declaration making headlines and rousing such a stir, the crew found they had little choice but to abort their plans and flee, reluctantly taking their self-declared new member along for the ride.

Initially forcing herself into the role of the ship’s cook, she showed preferential treatment to Prince and her own meals, leaving the rest of the crew with ill-prepared slop and drawing their ire. She was soon forcibly replaced by Kotakota by majority decision, wounding her pride greatly. Now reluctantly serving as a simple lookout, she spends her days complaining rather than doing her job. Though she has the skill required to be the crew’s musician, she is unwilling to disclose her talents to rest of the crew, happy to be surrounded by people who aren't constantly expecting her to entertain them.
