Bashful

Ophiuchus is very shy, especially around people they’ve never met before. It takes them a while to warm up to someone, but once they do, they’re happy to consider that person a friend.

Peaceful

Ophi prefers to take life at their own pace. They like to stop and smell the roses, and hate being rushed or put under pressure. To them, the journey is just as important as the destination. They avoid unnecessary conflict when they can, but they’ll still fight when push comes to shove.

Curious

Ophiuchus loves to explore and learn new things, but their curiosity can sometimes get the better of them and lead them into more trouble than they bargained for.

Friendly

Despite their timidity, Ophi gets along with others easily thanks to their kind and easy going nature. When they see someone who needs their help, they’ll never hesitate to lend a hand.

Optimistic

Ophiuchus tries to keep a positive outlook on life, even when their fears and doubts try to get the better of them.

Naive

Ophi can be pretty gullible, and is quick to accept anything as truth without really thinking it through first. They’ll give anyone the benefit of the doubt, to the extent that they’ll blindly trust someone as long as they haven’t been deceived by them before.

Background

Ophiuchus’s egg was discovered by a wandering group of Ultra Beasts, who took them and raised them as one of their own. With help from their new family, they learned how to fight and fend for themself in the harsh landscapes of Ultra Space. Since their family didn’t have a permanent home, Ophi never stayed in one place for very long. Although they enjoyed exploring each new location they visited, they were always disappointed when it was time to leave, and began to wish for a place to call home. Once they were old enough, they decided to set off on their own to search for a home for their family.

Ophiuchus now travels across Ultra Space, exploring new lands and meeting all sorts of Ultra Beasts. After stumbling upon a wormhole that led them to the Alola region, they’ve become curious about the world beyond their own, and frequently visit the region with the hope of finding a place for their family to live.

• Ophiuchus was designed by GhosTea! I adopted them in August 2023.
• They’re not sure what their species is, but they believe they must be some sort of Ultra Beast.
• They’ve been learning the Alolan language by ear. They know some basic words and phrases, but carrying out a conversation can be difficult for them.
• Their eyes are very sensitive to bright lights. They only travel to the sunny Alola region when it's dark out.
• Their favorite food is konpeito candy. They love it so much that they’ll sometimes make a special trip to Alola just to get some.
