Luke, also known as 'Sugar 'n' Spice', didn't mean to get caught up in the world of modelling or the world of fighting crime. At a young age, Luke was bullied for his interest in 'girly things', his background, and his general quietness. Luke moved just before starting high school. At a place with all new kids, Luke decided to take this time to change himself and put on a tough exterior. He'd keep to himself and wouldn't share his true self with anyone, he'd push back and tease people who reminded him of his old self. No one around him knew him well enough to point out how much of a hypocrite he'd become. No one was able to point out how foolish he was being for hurting people who were just like him. They didn't have to suffer like he suffered.

Just before graduating school, a student transferred into his class. Someone he recognized. It was one of his old bullies. Of course, they immediately recognized each other. But the strange thing was that Luke wasn't scared of him, and his old bully wasn't scared of Luke either. For the first time, he felt like he was on equally footing with someone. That was, until the guy challenged him to a fight for 'old times sake' and totally beat the shit out of him. 

When Luke woke up in the hospital the next morning, it made Luke realize he had no idea what he was doing with his life. He had had a strange dream while laying in the hospital and when he woke up, his muscles felt weird and tingly. He tried to take a sip of water but the cup shattered in his hands. When he was younger, people often got scared off because when he'd hit them, they'd always react way worse than he expected, but this amount of strength was different, it was much more than before. 

Once he got out of the hospital, Luke started to dress more like himself. He started to pursue his interests again. He even tried to manage his strength. 

While walking down the street one day, someone pulled him aside and asked if they could take some photos for a spread on street fashion for a magazine. This is where Luke got found! The manager of the magazine fell in love with Luke's look. They wanted him to work for them ASAP! So Luke did just that. 

It was only a little while later that the manager of the magazine found out about his obscene strength, and thought that he could become a poster child for protecting the city! 

Luke became quickly known as 'Sugar 'n' Spice', both as a model and a savior of the city.  He's tough, youthful, and rebellious. Some say that makes him too rough around the edges, but others say that that's his charm.

Trivia:

  • Luke never realized that he had powers, even from a young age, despite the fact that he felt different. He also never realized that the reason he got bullied was because people's attentions were drawn to him as part of his power set. He just hadn't learned how to regulate them yet and use these powers to his advantage.
