Icy would be the best way to describe Yelena. She is impersonable and does not enjoy being in the company of most people, unless they assist in her work. Overall, she does not go out of her way to form quality relationships with people. Instead, she values individuals with high intelligence or even an admirable curiosity in the world like her. At first glance, one might believe that Yelena has no emotion, but she can sometimes show flashes of snarkiness and anger when pushed too hard. Her hard work is the paragon of passion in her life and she has a determination that is unmatched. Secrecy is integral to Yelena, who will not reveal anything unless it benefits her in the long run.

Subject Zero

Yelena Miloslavskaya was a Nadya from a different universe, formerly oblivious to the Multiverse. She worked for the Russian government as a KGB agent with varying assignments on nuclear intelligence against foreign forces. Before she left to America on her mission, she met someone who looked like her in a shocking rift in her world: Nadya Tkachenko.

Nadya managed to contact Yelena and convinced her to hop across universes to be together, while also learning more about the Multiverse with their combined knowledge. They acted as sisters to not raise suspicion. Nadya, a Nobel Prized physicist, hoped to prove the existence of the Multiverse and enlisted the aid of Yelena. The pair were stationed in the United States where they conducted a long-term experiment to gather shards of the universe in order to create their own world that could function on its own, called Project .exe. An error occured in the production of Project .exe and resulted in Nadya being trapped inside of the program indefinitely, leaving Yelena alone.

Project .exe

After the disappearance of Nadya, Yelena swept the accident under the rug and claimed no responsibility over it. She instead continued the research the pair began by periodically checking on the status of their small world and her trapped sister. Her new focus shifted to creating a functional and large universe under the new title of Project .EXE in honor of Nadya. During this period of time, Yelena began to experiment with any minor shifts in the Multiverse and document any notable changes surrounding her. She soon began to develop a sexual relationship with her future son's father, a fellow colleague of hers and Nadya's, in order to produce an heir to her accumulated discoveries. Once Gale was born, Yelena was then able to crack the code of the Mirror Shards and explore the Multiverse indirectly.

Studying the Multiverse

By using Mirror Shards, Yelena learned how to inject her soul and conscience into her alternate forms. She is incapable of fully forcing herself into these other universes, unlike her time with Nadya, but is attempting to gather more shards to further the progress of Project .EXE. She is currently trying to gather more shards and learning more about her other selves across the Multiverse. Along the way, she has been recording data on her son's dreams, which are secretly experimental programs of artificial worlds.

• While she is unable to physically travel the Multiverse, Yelena has the ability to temporarily hijack her other forms. She can take control of her other selves for a short period of time at the cost of high energy use
