Background
Life
This fox was one of the test subjects in the lab that Okami was created in. This lab took part in illegal, unsanctioned experiments attempting to fuse the DNA of bats with different mammals. Of the twenty or so creatures they tested this process on, only the wolf and the fox survived the initial stage. The two became close in the weeks that followed, but the fox's body was still fighting the mutation even as the wolf slowly began to grow stronger. When the scientists running the experiment realized they were going to be inspected and shut down, they opted to terminate the fox and sell the wolf to a dog fighting ring. The wolf managed to break out of her cage and attempted to protect the fox, but in the scuffle the fox was kicked into a wall and ended up dying there all the same.
Other Notes
The fox was never given a real name, and she never knew the wolf by any name other than "wolf". Despite this, the two were as close as sisters, and the loss of her only friend devestated Okami.
