About

In Aspars, we hear different tales of Spirits. Therians are familiar with the Luna Nova. Humans are familiar with Spirits of Consciousness. Gijinkas are familiar with the Commanders. Pokemon are familiar with different varieties of Spirits, depending on where they come from. However, there are Spirits that the mortals aren't aware of. These Spirits are said to be dead in the world as they have lost their lives from events they are unaware of. The Spirits are often referred to as The Forgotten. There are a total of eight Spirits. The Spirits say are trapped in limbo. Neither the Harbingers of Death and Bringers of Life are capable of reaching them. It is said those Spirits are lost to the world, unable to return. At least..that's was the assumed thought until they gradually returned with new identities.

Here we have Rei (though his true name is Arashi). Even the Spirits aren't aware of his existence as few rarely see him. The Thunderclap Spirit is said to be the child of the servant of Chaos. Unlike Teddy, the male managed to regain a large portion of his memories. He doesn't fully have his powers back as his body is regaining the strength he lost since his rebirth. While his servant pleads for him to focus on his task of becoming an official God, Rei has one important thing he prefers to focus on before worrying about that. He wants to help his rival to regain his memories, so they properly settle who's truly the strongest.

Height
4’3 feet (or 129.54 cm)
Weight
72.6 lbs (or 32.9 kg)

Appearance

You would commonly find Rei in his Pokemon. In said form, he takes the form of a bipedal feline with primarily yellow and dark gray fur. The fur is thinner and dark gray on his lower legs, lower body, upper arms, and face, and is thicker and yellow everywhere else. A zigzagging black stripe can be found on each thigh and two more stripes on each forearm. There are small tufts of light blue fur on his chest and a longer tuft on his forehead. He has a single, lightning bolt-shaped blue whisker on each cheek. A long, ponytail-like bunch of fur extends from between its shoulders. Rei has large ears with black insides and orange eyes. His forepaws have four clawed fingers and light blue pads, while his hind paws have only three clawed toes.

In Rei's Gijinka form, he has an average built with no muscles here. It makes sense considering the fact he is/has the body of a child. With slightly tan skin, the male is occasionally seen with bandages covering parts of his body due to how often he gets into fights. The front half of his hair is an electric blue while the back half is blond. His eyes are bright orange. His attire consists of a black tank top that partially covers his yellow trousers, which is held up by a black belt. Black tabi shoes (that come up to his knees) can be found on his feet. Completing the outfit is a yellow coat with electric blue fur trim and a black collar around his neck.

Notes
  • You would rarely see Rei in his Gijinka form as the male lacks the ability to stay in it for long periods of time.
  • Rei keeps his Z-crystal on a gauntlet that he occasionally carries around.
  • In his Pokemon form, Teddy is a facultative biped.
  • The ponytail that flowes behind him is his Pokemon form does function much like a tail. It is capable of moving at will.
  • Rei's fur to 'stand up' whenever he's using any electric based attack (or absorbing it for the matter). Too much of it can make the male become a oversized fluffball.
    • It appears the electricity in question is Black Lightning based on the way it reacts.
  • The collar found on Rei's neck is something that he honestly stole from a human. He thought it looked cool.
  • Rei often has to make sure to get his fur cut often due to its tendency to grow rather quickly. As you can guess, he's not a fan of getting his fur cut.
  • Ri has retractable claws. Most of the time he tends to keep them out for convinent sakes.
  • As with most felines, Rei is quite flexible. This does make the male a bit of a pain to deal with.

Personality

Traits

  • Cocky
  • Impulsive
  • Stuck-Up
  • Short-tempered

Likes

  • Racing. The male enjoys a good race every once in the while. It helps him stretch those legs muscles of his, and he will always win them.
  • Attention. Please give him attention. He needs lots of it to feed his ego.
  • Fighting. Well, that's a bit of a given. He always finds himself getting in them pretty often since he sees it as a way to get stronger.
  • Fish. If you feed him fish, he might consider leaving you alone for a bit. He absolutely loves eating fish.

Dislikes

  • Bath. The idea of getting wet is something he absolutely hates. He never understand why people could enjoy taking them.
  • Petting. Do. Not. Pet. Him. He hates anyone petting him and will immediately shock anyone who even thinks about doing that.
  • Loud noises. It gets rather stressed when exposed to them. Please avoid assaulting him with them.
  • Mortals. He just thinks all mortals sucks. He doesn't really understand why they still exist.

"All of us start from zero. We take the right decision and become a hero." -Govinda

When it comes to Rei, the Spirit can be described as being short-tempered and impulsive. While he may slack off when it comes to his responsibilities, Rei is notorious to be a thrill-seeker, often complaining whenever things are too boring for his taste. He expresses a level of hostility and distrust for non-Spirits as he always believes they are the reason why the Old World had to be recreated. This leads to the male being a bit callous towards them, which is partially influenced by Spirit's overall attitude when it comes to mortals. He does not like to be what to do and often throws fit as a result. He refuses to comply with anyone other than himself and his servant. Rei is comparative to that of a child's. On one hand, he can either be extremely and adventurous. On the other hand, he can be extraordinarily selfless when it comes to protecting those he cares about.

In some aspects, Rri is similar to Teddy. He expresses great pride in his strength and carries the belief that's he the strongest Spirit around. Well, ignoring Mother and Father. Even he knows that he's doesn't stand a chance against those two Spirits. This brings a level of cockiness to the male that comes out in full force whenever he's fighting Teddy. He will keep fighting until he's declared the winner. Hell, he'll go as far as cheating if he has to. However, with his confidence, the male tends to overestimate others and believes he can never lose. Rei holds a high opinion of himself and often brags about his abilities.

Electrium Z

Rei doesn't use weapons, given how he fights. However, the male carries around a special item that he occasionally uses in battle: Electrium Z. The Electrium Z is one of the few Z-Crystals that exist in Aspars. What are Z-Crystals? Z-Crystals are items required to upgrade moves to Z-Moves (a powerful special type of move that is used once per battle) through the use of specialized gears that allows for one to harness their power. Rei's Z-Crystal upgrades his Plasma Fist into the special Z-Move Gigavolt Havoc.

Enhanced Speed/Fighting Style

Thanks to his electricity, Rei is one of the fastest Spirits when it comes to his speed. While it's certainly not to the level of one of the members of Wuji, it's certainly not something you should sneeze over. He may not be able to move at the speed of light, but his speed does make the male a pain to hit. The scary thing about Rei's speed is that when combined with his strength, his attacks become scary. All it takes is a few Bulk-Ups. Despite this, it should be noted that Rei is still working on his lung capabity, as running for too long can seriously drain him. Not only that, but his speed is as high as it is because his defenses are quite lackluster. If he's not too careful, he can get seriously harmed. Rei's method of fighting involves a mixture of brute force and aggressive. He relies on significant coordination and dexterity in combat as a means to evade attacks.

Black Lightning Manipulation

Rei has a form of magic that he seemed to partially inherited from his father. The magic in question allows Rei to use Black Lightning. With this power, Rei can create, shape and manipulate electricity of a darker, detrimental nature; that which damages, destroys, and consumes anything it comes across. It should be noted that this magic ignores the weaknesses that normal electricity has. An example of this is that this lightning is able to damage ground types. However, this form of magic is something that Rei is learning to control. After all, black lightning is destructive magic that is capable of causing harm to Rei and the others around him if he's not too careful. It doesn't help that this magic seems to appear whenever the male is angry.

Enhanced Senses

Rei has extremely sharp senses, allowing him to see, hear, and smell better than an average person. Rei's vision grants the male a greater range of peripheral vision and night vision. Rei's ears are enhanced enough to hear with amazing clarity, distance, and even frequencies outside the normal range. Rei's nose allows him to detect specific persons, objects, or even substances. His sense of taste and touch isn't nothing worth nothing. In fact, they are pretty average. However, with all this in mind, the male has to be careful to avoid sensory overload.

Moves and Abilities

Rei's ability is Volt Absorb. He uses his own electricity as a means to heal himself. Rei knows the following moves: Plasma Fist, Drain Punch, Grass Knot, Knock Off, Bulk Up, Outrage and Fire Punch. He can learn moves besides those, but those are the ones he often uses with Spectral Thief being his signature move. Outrage is something that he's trying to master.

Summary

The Thunderclap

His name was Arashi. He was a Spirit born from the servant of Chaos bolts and his inner feral side. Arashi was never given a good reason why he created him. His father claimed that he created him because he wanted a child, but Arashi felt there was more to that. Spirits don't just don't create things for something so..simple as that. Arashi was a loud Spirit that always caused trouble wherever he goes. He traveled the world, occasionally jumping back to his father's homeland to visit him. He witnessed the many events that took place in the Old World that would eventually spark the war starting between the Spirits that he desperately wanted to be apart of. Eventually, Arashi would make what was once known as [REDACTED] his home. From there, he would interact with the many Spirits that rest in this country.

He would eventually become friends with a young Spirit named Theodore. Well, if you can call a friendship. It was more like a rivalry if anything. Arashi was always the loudmouthed one. He was always trying to find ways to prove that he was better than Theodore and doing whatever it takes to spark some form of reaction in the male. Arashi had been jealous of Theodore ever since the shorter Spirit defeated him in battle during their first encounter. Theodore always found Arashi to be an annoying pest, especially whenever he would often get in the way of his mission. Despite all of this, Arashi carried a level of respect for Theodore and always felt his pain of not being considered an official God due to their purpose of existing. The more time they spent, the more they grew closer. Eventually, it wouldn't be long before the two fell in love. Granted, they never did admit that as they had their own pride and whatnot.

Now that it truly mattered in the end. Why? Arashi lost his life. How? He was caught in the crossfire of the war that was going on between the Spirits. It was a battle those Fabled (well-known) and those considered Mystics (hidden from the public). For Theodore, he was caught between the battle of one of his father's masters and the Selene. Unfortunately, he wasn't fast enough to avoid the beam from his father's master fired at him. It wasn't his fault Selene managed to avoid at the last minute, and Arashi happened to be in the line of fire. With the power of the move amplified by his father's master rage, Arashi was dead on impact. While he had tried his best to avoid being apart of the war, it didn't matter in the end. The war did its job in taking his life away. The sad part is that with Life and Death being enemies as a result of the world, he couldn't be brought back.

A Spirit's death is a complicated and strange process. If Spirits aren't brought back to life immediately, they end up in the Void. No one knows where the Void is or how to access it. Hell, no one is sure what it truly is. Most Spirits argue that it's closest they get to limbo. With the nature of the Void, Spirits who find themselves in it are trapped. Those Spirits gradually lose the ability to think, feel, and understand what goes on. The memories they once had are ripped away from them. Day by day, they lose the memories of who they are in this dark place. It's a sad situation that Arashi was hoping to avoid after his master's talk about this cursed place. However, there isn't much he can do besides float there and do nothing. His memories became blank, and his identity lost.

Then he heard it.

??? heard a voice. He's not sure who that voice belonged to, but it sounded nice. It was soothing and brought a level of curiosity to ???. The voice made him aware of his location. No....his new location. He was in a blanket of darkness, but it was different. It was lighter, cramp, and solid. ??? felt his emotions come back to him in waves. That curiosity is what makes ??? bang his fist against the walls of darkness. He desired to see what was talking to him and what they looked. Through his banging, ??? eventually broke through the wall and falls. His face makes contact with a mess of white fur. Looking to the source, he is greeted by a older Luxray. The Luxray gave him his new identity and helped him recalled his old one.

His new one is what we call 'Rei'.

Relationships

Teddy

Rival

Teddy is nothing more than a crybaby! He's always whining whenever Rei one up for something so small! Just being near Teddy makes Rei frustrated, especially given how he acts nothing like his old self. Somehow, Teddy beating him also adds to Rei's frustration as he feels like he doesn't deserve to win! Crybabies aren't allowed to win! Admittedly, Rei does have a small crush on Teddy. A very small crush. It's nothing more than that. He wishes Teddy remembers who he once was so he can have his old friend back.
