Peculiar weak Charcadet

There was a fairly big family of Charcadets, Armarouges & Ceruledges in the world of the beasts. Many of them would accomplish huge things in their lives, while others would modestly live their own lives, away from the thrill of battle. Though most Charcadets typically evolve pretty quickly, there was one in particular who stuck around as one for quite a long time.

And it was the little Aster, who had a huge heart & an undying resolve, although he was notoriously weaker than everyone else, even weaker than his younger siblings. And, no one was entirely sure why. He had as much, if not more, energy than everyone else…his strength was simply not as strong & he was fairly frail in battle. But, that didn’t stop Aster from wanting to eventually become an Armarouge with the noble goal of protecting everyone.

Because of his general weakness, Aster was either disliked or treated like a small child, and that would persist for years to come. Notably, one of his older sisters, Azure, would often help him out even if he constantly screamed about wanting to do things by himself. On the other hand, his other sister, Amaranth, would often bully him for being weak and leave him to perish at times. Despite that, though, Aster wanted to make his sisters proud…but wasn’t sure how.

A Meloetta’s guard

Due to Aster not being fit for fighting, he was quickly sent to protect a family’s young girl, a little Meloetta with very expensive tastes. For a very long time, Aster was very dedicated to his job, always taking it as seriously as possible and overly worrying for Octavia, the one he had to protect, until she started expressing the desire for him to loosen up.

While it was very tough for Aster due to him always feeling the need to prove himself to others, he did eventually manage to learn to enjoy the little things and learned many new things with Octavia, including how to dance, how to play instruments & how to knit.

Unfortunately, this would not last too long, as shortly after Aster’s last dance with Octavia, he was finally sent to his very first mission which involved exploring & fighting.

Unexpected date

During his time with Octavia, Aster had the fortunate opportunity to meet two incredibly strong Pokemon, a Gallade named Siegfried & a Lucario named Franz. The two of them were very notable for having fought some of the strongest Pokemon in their world, however the reason Aster looked up to them was because of their prowess and their undying will to protect others. In fact, Aster wanted to be just like them when he grew up.

But, in a very strange twist, Siegfried actually looked up to Aster for his undying determination and even got a crush on him. It took the Charcadet a long time to realize the feelings, but eventually, the Gallade couldn’t hold it in and confessed his feelings to Aster, who accepted. It was the happiest day of his life.

While dating, Aster continued to work hard on becoming a great Armarouge with Siegfried’s very watchful & knowledgeable eye. And, for the first time, the Charcadet genuinely felt like he was making great progress, almost as if he was actually getting stronger.

He was very excited to eventually go on a mission, but that was staying uncertain for quite a while, until…

First and last mission

Fortunately for him, he was allowed to go on his first mission with both Siegfried & Franz after training with his partner for a while. Though, what he didn’t know was that Aster was sent on a mission by some of his family to get rid of him due to how “high maintenance” he was. They were supposed to go to a cave to retrieve an armor that used to belong to a notable Armarouge. And, the idea was really exciting Aster, even if he was almost certain he wouldn’t be able to evolve from it.

Despite how tough the dungeon was, the trio eventually manages to find the armor. Although, as Franz tried to retrieve it, the entire dungeon started to crumble, causing the trio to retreat. Unfortunately, though, as Siegfried & Franz escaped, Aster ended up being stuck in-between rocks, making it impossible for him to leave.

This caused the Gallade & the Lucario to start mourning for the little Charcadet’s death, Siegfried was especially devastated and tried to go back into the dungeon to try to rescue his beloved, but it seemed impossible.

Cursed evolution

As Siegfried & Franz continued to despair over the little Aster, not knowing that his family wanted him gone, they noticed something odd happening at the dungeon. Rocks were being thrown around, slashed with bitter flames, destroyed with fire. Shocked, but also very concerned, the duo braced themselves for a potential battle. And, before blinking, the two of them found themselves in front of a dark purple Ceruledge with extremely bitter flames.

Without hesitation, the Ceruledge rushed towards the Gallade & the Lucario without any second thoughts, causing the three of them to have a very intensive battle before Siegfried & Franz were absolutely overpowered by the Ceruledge.

And, to make matters even worse, the Ceruledge transformed into a combination between a vampire & a weremon and became twice as tall as the two of them. With a deranged expression & an insatiable hunger, it started slashing both Siegfried & Franz, cutting them into pieces then consuming them, starting with Franz. As the Ceruledge got to Siegfried, though, it quickly snapped out of what seemed to be a trance.

“W-wait…is that blood on the ground…? What even happened to me…? Why is Siegfried’s head in my hands…” Aster, now a Ceruledge, had realized what he had done and started weeping over the death of his own partner. The one who taught him a lot of things about battle. The one who cherished him for who he was rather than for his power or anything superficial.

“Franz is…dead too…” the Ceruledge weeped at the death of his two companions for a while, before digging them a grave and left.

Aftermath

There are rumors saying that the deaths of both Siegfried & Franz were later found out and their souls were implemented into an Iron Valiant. But, unfortunately, said Iron Valiant would later be corrupted due to bad programming and would end up being tied to a certain Demise through a permanent Destiny Bond.
